I took the first step today

Today I took the first step to becoming a DVC member. Been 3 years coming, but yesterday I called the Timeshare Store on a property at OKW, 150 points with 140 points banked, all available this September 1st. Priced at $76.00 per point. Today I mailed my first set of papers to buy the property, along with my deposit check. Now I have to wait about 30 days or so until Disney decides on ROFR. I will be a nervous wreck until I hear back from them. I am also very excited to say the least, along with my DW and 2 DS's. Now, if everthing works out, instead of going to POR next January 1st, we will go home to OKW instead. Wish me luck, please.

Good luck. At least if you do not pass there appears to be a lot of contracts up on the re-sale board to choose from.

I have my fingers crossed, my thumbs pressed together and I will say my special prayer to the "Disney Gods". I don't know if it helps or not but alot of the board members swear by it!
