I thought I ordered a planning video

but instead I got this small packet that was personalized with our name on it....will I still get the video, or did I screw up & order the wrong thing....

The personalized brochure is a standard with all reservations, so not to worry--you didn't order the wrong thing. How long ago did you put in for your video? If it's been a few weeks, I would go online and put in another request. Hope you get one soon!

I agree with Gumdrop. I ordered my video about two weeks ago and received it yesterday.

I got my packet about a week before the video came, but I did get them both and didn't have to ask again.

When I ordered my DVD I also got the info pack. As the other poster said about a week after my pack came the DVD came. Which by the way is a great way to pass the time until your trip. I have watched it about 30 times in the past mth.

May be a silly question but...where do you go to order a vacation planning DVD? On the disneyworld.com site, I only see an option to order a video (and no place where it asks what format you want). I'd love to have a DVD, if that's available.

Early this year there was an option to choose VHS or DVD, that option is no longer available.

Sorry to hear it is no longer availible.
It is a great DVD. OH I bet they are just updating it adding info on MS, Pop Century, and the Mickey show they are adding this yr!!
I bet in a couple of mths it will be back. Just a guess of course. But the DVD I receieved had no info on any of those on it.

I ordered a dvd through an email from Disney and after about 3 weeks I ordered another since I got another solicitation and hadn't received the first dvd. Since then I've gotten two dvd's and a vhs tape that I never ordered came today. So anyway, your dvd may still arrive since my first one took about 4 weeks plus you may even get extras!

A poster on another thread about video/DVD planners suggested emailing Disney to request a DVD. I tried that as I would really like to have one, and this is the response I got:

I got my new video within a few weeks. I haven't received any other packet from WDW as yet. I ordered the Orlando Magicard and got that quickly too. Their packet says there is more information to come from the area.

I must have requested the DVD right before they discontinued it, because I got it in the mail about two weeks ago.

I never received a personalized brochure though. What is that? I made my FTP reservation through the CRO ... Was the brochure only available if you reserved online?

the packet was no big deal, just a nice touch, especially if you are new to the whole disney thing....it actually said our last name right in the info....example "we're so glad you are coming in August" & "personalized planning information for the Andrews family"....we did get the FTP by calling WDT, but I went online special to request the video....hopefully, we will get a treat in the mail shortly, namely a video!!!
