our guide is Edwin Mastrapa. He was real good to work with. we just signed up last week while we were staying at SSR and were able to get the F&F promo at $85.00/pt. Plus they were doing aug 06 use year, so we'll be able to vacation twice in aug 07 use year since we banked all of our aug 06 points into aug 07 use year.

i'd look into whether you can still get in on the $85.00/pt F&F deal since your guide cost you to miss the deadline.

Not that this is any help, but the lack of responsiveness from not 1, but 2 different guides was a major factor in us buying most of our DVC points through resale. I'm sure there are great guides...we have yet to have one though...we've pushed the point and been stuck with somebody else who was almost just as unresponsive.

Well, after our 2nd guide failed to call us back within 48 hours, I got fed up. I called Jason Eperling at the Timeshare Share who is wonderful and has called me everyday since! We are going to buy re-sale through them because he was/is very responsive.

Hopefully in 3-4 weeks we will find out if we are an owner at SSR!!

We had no problem purchasing at SS and we live in PA. We purchased last June after visiting, signed nothing while there.

Our guide was very professional and responsive to our questions, her name is Theresa Seitz 407 827-4415.

There are some states where DVC is not registered with whatever department they need to be in order to sell DVC by mail or phone in that state... The only way to buy DVC in those states is via resale or when the people visit WDW.

I, too, have had a difficult time getting my guide (Jeff) to call back. I called four times and still haven't heard from him.

How can I tell if my state (Virginia) is one where we cannot buy over the phone?
