I think I have a problem (add-on-itis)

We have plenty of points already and my kids are getting older. However irrationally I want to buy at HH (probably resale) even though we have never been there, a large Poly2 contract for DS (direct with incentives), and enough direct points at CCV to book an extra trip that I don’t have the time to take for no real reason to except that I love that hotel. I thought about buying CCV resale but as the 2042 properties disappear and new ones come online I wouldn’t want to be locked out, and over roughly 40 years of ownership the cost of direct vs resale really isn’t that different.

I don’t NEED any of these but it sure is fun to dream. Especially because the end dates are fixed and prices keep going up, it seems to make more sense to buy now vs waiting.

I would recommend visiting Disney HHI resort. We own there and love it, but it is not for everybody.

the problem is that I want to be an owner in those places even if I don’t think I’ll be able to use them all that often. I’m just being silly/irrational. I also don’t want to feel like I’m missing out on something.

Add up the annual dues for those prospective purchases. Look at that total whenever FOMO makes an appearance.

That’s a good point! Though lately it seems like direct prices are increasing by approximately the same amount as annual maintenance fees.
