I think I found the best piggy bank EVER!

Well everyone is so creative....all I have are my Plantar's dry roasted peanut jars that are shoved behind my bedroom door. In the summer I drag one of them out for a door stop. I will be making my annual trek to the local coin star machine very soon ,since I'm too lazy to roll up all that change.::MinnieMo :)

Our "piggy bank" is a huge, clear, barrel shaped Snyders pretzel container from BJ's. DH hot glued the cover on and made a slit in the top so no one would be tempted to dip into it! We too decorated it with Disney stickers! It's about half full...when it's close to the top, we'll have to figure out how to get it open (LOL) and I'll start rolling the change to use towards WDW park hoppers. It's certainly a pain-free way to save and the kids enjoy pitching in too! Have fun on your trip!!:D

That is exactly what we use! I would guess that you have about $300+ in there at half full. It is amazing how heavy that thing can get! Our Disney jar is currently working on its second filling for the next trip!

Wow! I have to get a FEW of these piggie banks! It is so hard not to dip into money you are saving up. Thanks for the tip!!princess:

Wow, I am glad I am not the only one with a vacation fund bank at home. (I actually got this idea from a friend who uses a coffe can for all her change and then splits it between her three kids when full). I found a plastic garbage can in a 99 cent store. One piece, no cover to open. It is half way full. It is about 6 inches in diameter and about 8 inches high. I wrote vacation on it with a black marker. We will use this for our planned disney cruise for next year. I only put in nickles, dimes and quarters. I keep a separate one for pennies in a plastic, 1 gallon milk jug.

Thanks, great tip! We just took an empty big apple juice bottle & the kids decorated it. They've already found a good amount of change to put in.

I told my DD the other day she was only getting a snack & not the whole happy meal so we could put more money in the Disney jar. She understood! Love finding something to eliminate the need for the little plastic toys. :)

It sounds like you've got the hang of this!
