I am so mad at myself... I considered buying season passes because there was a possibility we would be going again but we weren't sure.... so I figured play it safe and if we do go twice it would about even out without the risk.... well, now we have returned from our spring break trip, too late to bridge to AP and now it looks like there may be a 3rd trip dec or march on top of June and I am so sick!!!!!

Now, I can buy it but the prices have gone up, I have wasted so much money on memory maker for march trip, I am so upset with myself I cant stand it!!!! I usually make good financial decisions but this is a disaster.

Its so hard to plan all of this so far in advance.... UGH!!!

I suppose I would buy them now, and think of the money I am now saving compared to other tickets going forward.

Disney is expensive DVC or not. You are a relatively new member, right? Consider it a learning curve.

You might want to call and see if the Ticketing Office can do something for you. It never hurts to ask nicely.

And it starts, now you find out that you will be spending more money at Disney, even with your DVC ownership. DVC is a cash cow for Disney not just due to sales but due to all of the other things that the owners pay for and their increased number of vacations there.

Bill, you words I had read previously were ringing in my ears last night once I figured out how bad I messed up!!! You are soooo right!

Yes, it is a learning curve for sure! This 3rd trip never crossed my mind prior to our spring break trip... one thing is for sure... planning is key... and I just hadn't gone there yet realizing I would still have points to use, I think because we moved out dec 2019 trip to july 2020 so that freed up 2018 points I wasn't planning to have.... ugh

I just came across the Disney premier visa card, and they are offering 200 cash back after you spend 500.... maybe I should do that and use it to buy my tickets and ease some of the pain..... any experience with this card?

Think of it this way. Did you have a fun trip? Did you take amazing photos you wouldn't have without Memory Maker? Then it's not all money wasted, just more than you could have paid, and a third trip means a third chance to make more happy memories. Nobody makes perfect decisions all the time and you've learned from this time!

yes!! thank you.... I feel little better now....

So! I have an update... they are being so kind... he said he would let me do it but there is a catch... I would have to wait until get to the park and we would not be able to book any fast passes... also something I didn't think about is it would expire March 10 and we were considering a spring break trip 2019 which it would not be good for... so..... I will have to think hard on it.. great opportunity but again, the planning issue.. are we going in december or march for spring break.

And when you get to the park, they won't know what you are talking about.

He gave me a confirmation code to give them with notes saying they are allowing me to purchase AP etc. He said, give them this code and they will see all the notes. But, it is bit nerve racking for sure.... a lot to consider

I'd go ahead and buy it on the next trip... and then start planning another trip so it "makes sense" (ha!). ;)

OMG, stop. You're really the target customer for Disney right now. You're upset with yourself over the tickets, but now found a Disney Visa card. So, you bought DVC, that's great. You have to get tickets now for another trip, ok. Let's get the Disney Visa card and buy the tickets with that... uhh err, TIME OUT! Take a step back, breathe, think.

I just may! The issue is we are traveling with 3 other people that will have fast passes booked so I am not sure how that will work out... not likely we will be able to join them for them etc.. lots to think about. I am going to slow down and ponder it all.. thanks!
