We took our first trip to Disney in May/June 2008... and I am seriously considering another trip in May/June 2009.... am I crazy??? My kids will be 3 and 4 this summer... we had a great time last year but swore we would wait until they were older and were able to ride more rides (since DH and I didn't get to a ride a single "big ride") and could stay up to see the night shows....

Would we be better waiting until 2010? I don't know what to do!!! :confused3

DD has been going to DW since she was 9 months old. We go yearly in September (in which she will be 5 for this trip) - each year it is exciting to see it through her eyes as she is getting older. DH & I are Disney nuts and dd has become one also. Everyday she wants to go online with me to look at Disney's website and plan her days there.

You sound like me & dh. We went in Oct. of 2008 & were gonna wait until 2010 but we got a 40% coupon & said, ok we'll go this September.:cool1:

You're probably asking the wrong group of people. ;) I don't think that's too soon at all, and, imo, it's SO fun watching small children at Disney. They're so much more into it and truly believe everything is real. And, if you want to do some "big" rides, you could get Fast Passes and take turns riding that way (which is what we did and it worked out fine).

nope you're not crazy. We went last May and we are going again this April. We planned on waiting til 2010 or 2011, but couldn't wait.

It depends do you feel you got to see all there was to see? Each time we go to Disney we experience things completely different than the time we went last. I suggest going a different season then you went last, that will change things up a bit.

We try to go every other year and then take a lower key vacation on the off year. Last year we went to Mrytle Beach.

As for the larger rides my dh and I gave those up for many years, but now can enjoy them with the children. It sounds like you are going to be going alot so I would not fret the " bigger things to do" as you will get to them eventually.

Perhaps book during a bday that way you can use the free bday ticket and they get a pin too. Those are just a few ideas.

But I have to agree .. there is never a too soon time to go :) I would live there if that was an affordable choice.

NO!! You are not crazy! Repeat after me. I am not crazy!

We took our first WDW family trip in Sept '07 when the kids were 3, 5 & 6.

We said we would wait a couple of years to go back and do something else for a family trip in '08.

Where did we go in '08? Yep - WDW. I couldn't think of a more perfect vacation. So on this trip about half way through my dh (::yes:: ) states, " I think we should make this our annual vacation".

Where are we going this year? You guessed it - WDW :cheer2:

Now in maybe 4-5 years we want to start doing NY, AZ, CO and other states but wanted the kids to appreciate those places for the history they have to offer. WDW is just a great fit for young children.

No, you aren't crazy! I worried about the same thing and if my kids would really enjoy it- well, they did. We went for our first trip when our kids were 3 and 4, in February 2008. Then we were going to wait another year, but with the 4/3 deal, we took it, and went this January. It was fantastic. I agree with what others say, make it different. The first time we stayed at the Poly, and only did MK, as that seemed all they were interested in. We did the Pirate and Princess party, a lot of character meals, it was wonderful. This time, at age 4 and 5, I can't believe how different it was. We stayed at SSR and hit all the parks. The most exciting was becoming 'jedis' at Hollywood... but also they took a pirate cruise at the GF. We didn't do any character meals this time, and didn't miss it, and this year my daughter did an autograph book and was so excited to see Tink.

Now- if you think you are crazy, wait til you hear this. We loved it SO much, when we got back, my husband proposed- again! He set up a disney fairytale vow renewal so we can all go back in a year (for our 10th anniversary). So our trip next year will be totally different again.

I would say a few times a week we hear this from the kids... "Mom, I really miss disney". It's fantastic, it's fun, and I say, enjoy it while it lasts! :)

Well... it is looking more and more like we really might go again! WHEEE!!! Except Disney's system is supposedly down and I can't even get price quotes...

Anyone have any info on the buy 4 days get 3 free promotion? Is it on the resort only?

OH... and if we go my mom and stepdad will be coming which means DH and I could get some kid free time to hit some of the bigger things... and with the kids being a little older I think they can probably do a little bit later nights a couple times! I am getting excited already! I hope it all works out!
