WE round the corner and there it is - the lodge!
Nice green tin roof - I always wanted a tin roof. But not very spectacular like everyone says.
cool doors - we played a game all week taking turns opening the doors for eachother with our 'magic powers'
Then WOW it hits you! This place is GORGEOUS! . Words cannot describe how breathtaking the lobby is!
Well straight to the counter to check in (The kids went to the corner to sit in little rocking chairs and watch TV.)
Our room is not ready yet! HMMM it is 3:15. Oh well they give us a number to call and our room key (no room # though).
Check out the river in the lobby - very cool! DS LOVES the bridge! I LOVE the fireplace and rocking chairs!
First things first! We go buy our mugs. hhhmmm choices! The smaller one fits in the stroller cup holder - but DH will like having the bigger ones when we get home! Go with the big ones!
Go check out the pool - it has stopped raining and it is muggy out! Oh look the gyser should be going off soon - so we wait -
and we wait - hmmmm my watch must be off - we walk away to check out the pool bar and the water slide, around to see the cool waterfall - then we hear it the gyser! OOPPSS we'll see it later!
Find a phone - call about our room -
nope not ready yet - well how about our friends connecting room - yep theirs is ready! 4009. Off we go. Nothing spectacular - nice view though! Call for our luggage! Notice that housekeeping has left our room so in we go!
UTHO -
NO BUNK BEDS!
hhmmm - we'll figure something out later - DD and DS will not sleep well together (someone will end up on the floor!)
WE go into friends room to discuss evenings plan and all of a sudden - SMASH we turn around to see that DS has dropped a glass on the doorway between rooms! Everybody Be careful! LodgeKeeping was there in a few minutes and cleaned it up! and a few minutes later someone else from lodgekeeping was there to clean it up - While she was there I told her that we would need a portacrib - no rush anytime before 8:30!
(We move the glasses out of reach too
Now what!
Lets check out the transportation system!
WE took a boat to Magic Kingdom, then the monorail to TTC, then the monorail to Epcot (past the hotels) - opps - we need to get off here for a minute - DS needs a diaper change and the fumes could kill the innocent! HHHMMM I don't want to use a hopper day to go use a bathroom - so I seek out a quiet corner, family makes barrier and thank goodness for the reclining stroller - change him and back onto the monorail for the ride back! At TTC we decide to take the BIG ferry back to MK - they tell us it is closed - we know~ It was neat to be on the ferry all alone! Heading toward the beautiful castle with all the colors! THen back to WL! WEre a little hungry now - a cheeseburger at the Roaring Forks (love the way they set up the condiments!)
Time for night-night! What is that I hear!
Out on the porch-deck whatever you call it - I can barely see the Water Parade - but I can definately hear it! Very Cool! The pool is very busy and very noisy!
Now night night time!
