I can’t believe I got one! It pays to stay up till midnight, bleary-eyed! Haha

I got Cabana #20. Has anyone stayed there before? Is it a good location? Is the beach nice infrom of it or is it the more Duney area?

Thanks for the feedback. Now I am going to try to goto sleep. It’s gonna be tough though! It’s our first time in a cabana! :cloud9:

Congrats! We had Cabana #20 about 18 months ago (I also scored it by logging in at midnight). It was our first Cabana experience and we loved it. It is next to the double wide Cabana (I'm sure it has a fancier name than that) and has fewer trees/vegetation around it than the lower numbered cabanas, but that didn't bother us a bit.

We thought the beach in front of the Cabana was perfect and we enjoyed having that end of the lagoon essentially to ourselves. The only drawback is that it is the furthest away from Cookies Too, but we did not mind the walk at all. And the hosts were more than willing to drive us in the golf cart.

Here is a picture of the amazing view.

I found a video of the exact cabin. It looks beautiful. I can’t wait. Is it a long walk to the bathroom too? So even though we are not concierge, they will still drive us in the golf cart? If so, that would be phenomenal bc I have limited walking mobility and could use the extra help depending on how far it is.

We scored Cabana 20 in November 2016 and enjoyed (actually lucked upon checking randomly less than 2 weeks before our cruise someone having obviously cancelled their reservation for, we snagged). As PP said is right towards the end so not as close to food as others and it being one of the add-ons to the series a few years ago, it had no growth in front of like the older cabanas. The tidal pool and shoal in at this end of beach was enjoyed and to us, any cabana is better that no cabana! In the pic it is the 2nd from the end (next to the large family double which is last).

I don't remember the walk to the bathroom being very far, but the hosts will absolutely take you in the golf cart. And it doesn't matter at all that you're not concierge. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

There are new restrooms just a few cabanas down from 20. you wont need a cart ride.

Congrats! We booked a cruise on a discount rate about three months out. We happened to book it the day Gold could check in and imagine our surprise when I saw cabanas open! I understand your excitement! It took me a second to realize that what I was seeing was actually what I was seeing! Enjoy!

The walk to the washrooms is not far (the cabana washrooms are located behind cabanas 14/15 I believe) or about 1/3 of the way to Cookies Too (where other washrooms exist). All cabana guests are shuttled via golf cart to their cabana and the host are a simple ring away for anything needed be it a ride or any other needs (they are phenomenal).

Is there only one golf cart? We have 8 people in our cabana.

Also, I was in such a rush to reserve the cabana before it got away from me that I only put my name under it. I assume I can call dcl and add the other names without losing the cabana?

Only our names are on our cabana. I called in to ask how to add the others and IT told me not to touch it lol! They told me to talk to guest services once on board and they would add everyone to it.

That’s exactly what I was hoping you would say. Thanks for the tip! Is it normal that it’s book, but it still looks available on the excursion page? That’s odd.

Freaked me out too the first time I had a cabana booked as I thought booking did not take. You are seeing because you have booked and you should see in your port activities listed.

This. I had the same experience recently when I snagged a great FL resident rate on a Sept. Fantasy booking back the end of May. Because I am Platinum (finally! woohoo!), I quickly paid in full and starting booking. There were 2 cabanas left, one being #20 and the other the big family one. I grabbed #20 and kept seeing it looking like it was available just as you are seeing. I actually asked the question here, and got the answer Hardis5 has, because YOU booked it, it is showing up. If I had your same cruise booked and went looking it would not show up. :cutie: Congrats on the cabana! Enjoy1

I believe it is only 1 cart as one may need to wait a few minutes but the family beach cabanas are literally a 2 minute ride from the cabana check-in booth. You may want to be cautious of mentioning 8 people for other the the large cabana, you are only allowed 6 guests (I think as we've never had that number) in a regular cabana at the family beach.

I know you can have 10 in a SB cabana but you pay a little extra after 6. I think it is $50 per extra person. Can someone else confirm for the family beach?
