is SSR strictly for DVC members or could an "outsider" make ressies and stay there? For that matter, are any of the DVC resorts strictly for DVC member use?

All DVC resorts are available for cash reservations.

AND if they release discounts for AP holders, you may be able to get a pretty good rate

Watch out though, we stayed at OKW last year, and CSR this. There was no comparison. We left a few weeks ago owning at SSR. Watch out, once you stay at DVC, nothing else will match up.
