I'm just like my mom's dog. I'm home alone and I get into everything imaginable. First I ate an extra slice of pizza making it 3 pieces at work (oh wait this started before I got home). I started out okay at home this afternoon. I needed a little pick me up so I ate a bowl of grapes. A little later I had some crackers with peanut butter. Then a tomato sandwich. And to top it all off a box of mac and cheese. Now I feel stuffed and icky. Plus I only walked 20 minutes and not even on the treadmill but just in the living room walking in place b/c I wanted to watch a dvd and there's no dvd player in the treadmill room. I wanted to walk longer but I was starting to feel ill from all the water I drank today. Hmm I guess that is the plus side to today, I drank water constantly hoping it would keep me from eating. I had 2 quarts at work then at least 4-5 big (16oz probably) glasses at home and as soon as I finish writing this I'll be getting a refill. I'll just get back on track tommorrow even though we are having bacon for breakfast but I will eat that in moderation. I'm just glad I didn't flake on the exercise or the water intake. I can still be proud of that.

Are you following a plan? You need to have a plan to combat all the pizzas and boxes of mac and cheese that will stare you in the face and tempt the heck out of you. Figure out what it is that makes you reach for foods you don't really want and tackle it......I recently discovered for me, mindless television led me right to mindless eating. I haven't turned on the television in a week, I've stayed on plan and I actually enjoy what I eat MORE because I pay attention and know I'm eating it.

Good for you for sticking with the water and exercise. Tomorrow is another day and we will all have a chance to do better!:)

Listen to Annie, AND DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP! You are right that you should be proud for all the water you drank and the fact that you did walk!

Today is a new day. Drink your water throughout the day, make time to exercise, don't even look at a box of Mac N Cheese! :)

You can do this!!!!!!! :) Celebrate all the great choices you make every day and remember YOU are in control! Food DOES NOT control you!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
 
It was that darn box of mac and chees that put you over the top!...been there...done that! You have a healthy perspective on this situation though! It's done (can't do anything about it). You did many right things despite having more food than you wanted to (exercise! water!). You have a plan for the next day. See...you've got it right!

It really is ok to have these kind of days. We are all human. The great thing is you stuck to your water and exercise. Plus you are already talking about tomorrow and getting on track. You can do it!!

My motto is.........MOVE ON! If you cheated so what. These are lifestyle changes we are working on. In life there will be challenges and days that we mess up. The great thing is......its only one day and we can Move On!! Tomorrow is always another day.

Thanks for all your support everyone. I'm walking to the post office this morning for stamps instead of driving since it's no longer so hot out.
 
I know what you mean - I'm the same when I am home alone. That is why I try to stay busy and limit the times on my own to a bare minimum. I know that I am less likely to stuff my face if I'm keeping myself busy. Most of the time I don't eat because I am hungry, I eat because I am bored!!!
