I should have stayed in bed today......

Yesterday was a good day.... felt good enough to trek to the Disney Store and pick up DD CInderlla costume for Halloween...... and a bunch of other stuff.... they had jammies on sale and since Madelines are all major FLOODS I figured why not pick some news ones up....

That shopping excursion wiped me out.......

Today........

UGH.... still not feeling 100% but I was feeling good enough to go and do some more much needed shopping. Again I needed to buy DD pants that werent pretending to be capris.....

Headed to Target..... get the register, 182 bucks (isnt that always the way lol) and my credit card is declined.... now this is a check card with well over 2500 bucks in the account... NO way is should be declined. The cashier was very nice and said he could suspend the sale and I could head over to customer service and they will take care of it.....

Customer service said they WOULD NOT call... but If I wanted to use a pay phone around the corner......... HUH??? Fine whatever.... I go to the pay phone and I didnt have any change.... right behind me was another cashier with her drawer open... I ask if I could get change for a dollar and she tells me NO.... she doesnt give change out..... HUH? Okay back to CS..... he gives me change but isnt very nice about it..... At that point I ask to speak to a manager.....

To make a long story longer, it turns out Bank One cancled my card because.... now get this.... buying gas and shopping at the Disney store seemed suspisious.....

All this took over 20 minutes to straighten out.... the lady said they tried repeatedly to call me but the phone number they had was the wrong one.... BTW It was the right one AND they only called once.... and I had their number on my caller ID yet they left no message....

I told them I was leaving Target and heading to a Chineese food restraunt in case that would make them suspisicious (sp)

And to add to the whole deal.... I was starving and needed to eat ASAP (those who are preggo know this) and I no linger had time to stop by and get my baby the fried rice and egg drop soup it needed..... so I stopped by McDOnalds and got a cheeseburger which managed to stay down all of 20 minutes.........

Is it bed time yet????????

What a total hassle. I have heard of more and more credit card companies suspending cards lately because of "suspicious activity". It is a good thing, and yet in your case I cannot see how buying gas and shopping at TDS qualify as suspicious.

Sorry the McDonalds did set right with you and baby.

WOW!! What a mess! I'm glad you got it all fixed and can now rest and relax. Sounds like you need to take a deep breath and then take a nap. Made me tired just thinking of what you were put through.
We're heading for WDW in just over a week and will need gas on the way - maybe I should alert my bank! Major use of card coming up!!

Sorry about your bad day...I too, have had my card suspended before for "suspicious" activity....I think it was charging at a store I never did before.

Poohstyx....I called before our WDW trip this past March to inform them about charges at WDW coming up. They told me that if I hadn't called...they would have suspended it. So, I think you should give your cc card company a call and let them know.....

Okay now I am really mad! At the McDonalds I also ordered the new pumpkin pie thing.... at first they gave me an apple (I said to them, even tho the box said apple it is a pumpkin pie right?) Oh No they say..... it is an apple.... Okay I hand it back to them and they give me another box.... unmarked..... but I assume it is pumpkin.... well I just now opened it up.... broke it open.... and it is CHERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Lisa - maybe I will call. We go so often (thanks to Fl Res perks ) that I have never even thought about it. Never had a problem, but don't want to chance it.

Didn't know McD's had pumpkin pies - mmmm. I don't blame you for being upset. You'd think they could get a pie right.
