Oh my goodness! We have that book and I only read it ONCE and never again! I tear up even thinking about it! Hits too close for me.....

I don't have any kids so I wasn't familiar with the book until I read it to my Godson. My goodness they should put a warning on that book. I was so choked up at the end I almost couldn't get through it!!

Yeah, I guess climbing in the window is a bit odd, I didn't think much about it.

I bought that book, when my daughter was in Kindergarden. I cried when I first read it to her, and never stopped crying each and every time I read it to both her and her DB. She is now 22 and I still cry when I read it and think about it. I brought it to the office once, and had everyone in the bottom floor in tears.
