My family of four have just returned from our fourth WDW trip. Our first three trips we did the regular dining plan and enjoyed it very much. This trip we planned on relaxing and kind of going with the flow a little more and not being tied down to reservations. We did plan two restaurants (Teppan Edo and Boma for breakfast). So after agonizing over it, we decided to do the quick service plan. Well, the food itself was fine, but we won't be doing that plan (or any plan really) again. Both of my daughters are considered Disney adults now. The younger daughter really doesn't eat much, nor do I. We shared a lot of our meals. Turns out that the night before we left we still had a bunch of snack credits and 17(!) counter service credits left. We traded in a lot of those for snacks to bring home (mostly Mickey rice crispy treats). So all in all it wasn't really worth it for us. We really missed having a sit-down dinner at the end of the day.

Continued in next post....

Here is where and what we ate:

MAGIC KINGDOM:
Peco's Bill's- taco salad, chicken wrap, pork sandwich. Taco salad was really good, love the toppings bar.
Cosmic Ray's- turkey bacon wrap (my fave) is NOT on the menu anymore! We all had ribs, which were pretty good for counter service.
Casey's- nachos, chili dog, hot dog, corn dog nuggests. All pretty good. I think the buns were white, not whole wheat.

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Pizza Planet- cheese pizza, veg pizza, pepperoni pizza. Slightly greasy, but hot and good. DD ate all the caesar salads that came with the meals instead of a pizza.

ANIMAL KINGDOM
Yak & Yeti- hubby and DD both had honey chicken. Huge portion, just ok.

EPCOTCantina- hubby had beef nachos, oldest DD had cheese nachos. Huge portions again, delicious nachos.

AKL
Mara- hubby and oldest DD had breakfast here twice. We also had dinner here twice. 1/2 chicken, nuggests, burgers, flatbreads. All was good.

DOWNTOWN
Cookes of Dublin-fish and chips (x3) and shrimp. Long wait for food, but Sooo worth it!! Excellent!!

WPE- ate here twice and had meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs, pepperoni pizza, cheese pesto pizza, chicken alfredo, mac and cheese. As good as always, and a great value for a QS credit. If paying OOP definitely big enough portions for sharing.

Hope that helps someone.. Any questions...just ask.

Thank you for posting this:thumbsup2 We're going next week with our two DD's, 10 & 14, who are also 'adults' per WDW standards, yet want to eat nothing other than chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and french fries. I have been agonizing over the QSDP vs DDP for months and finally went with the DDP just this week because, like you, I thought we'd miss the experience of the sit down meal. However, to please everyone, I've tried to stick to buffets every night except for WCC.
