I saw the cutest Minnie Mouse golf cart today

We're staying at FW until Monday. Saw a red and white golf cart with minnie ears up near Pioneer hall. it was adorable. lots of really neat golf carts around, one blue one with Mickey hands too. having a great time here!

We saw that cart last night at the marina on our way to MK for the Fireworks.

I'm seriously thinking of buying a cart and doing something cute to it...how often do batteries have to be changed out? thinking gas vs electric....really considering gas!!!

We are looking for a cart too, and I am really leaning towards gas. Depending on the voltage of the cart, we have been told they cost up to $750 to replace. And that they might only last 2-3 years. If you think about it, that would buy a lot of gas for a gas cart. But the downside is that some other campgrounds dont allow gas carts, but seriously, who cares about other campgrounds right? When we started looking, I called the bike barn to see if gas carts were allowed, and they said "only with a hospital muffler", but I called about a million golf cart places, and none had ever heard of such a beast. Of course, this was BDB (before dis boards), I was unaware of the brilliance of the disboards, and all who post here, but I have seen the light, and will never stray like some named colson.

If you take care of your batts topping off the levels with (DISTILLED WATER ONLY) they will last you 4 yrs. PS make sure all cables are good and tight as well as keeping your terminals cleaned with you have build up with a solution mixed of baking soda and water. If you need any questions concerning golf carts just ask.

Plus remember, unlike the Fort, the vast majority of campgrounds that even allow golf carts DO NOT allow gas ones. I'd rather have gas, but leaving it at home while we're at the campground at the beach is not why I bought it.

To me gas is way better. We drive our cart all the time. It holds 6 Gal. of gas it last forever after 14 days at FW still had a 3rd of a tank left. When we are at home I only put gas in it about every 2 months. I am going to get mine licensed
to drive on the street. The beach we go to says licensed vehicles only. Plus I figure then when a campground says no gas golf carts I can tell them its licensed, and they let trucks drive around so why not my cart.

We have a gas cart..and are very happy with it. It is not that loud at all. I couldn't deal with that. I've heard scooters and motorcyles that are way louder than our cart in the campgrounds we've been to. It runs forever on five gallons of gas.

We found our cart by e-mailing every golf course there was in the two counties near to where our seasonal site is. We wanted to avoid the "middle man" I did locate a course that was changing ownership, and he was replacing the older gas Yamaha carts. Waited until the golf season was over and we picked it up. Over last winter my husband had it painted(we have a collision shop) and let's just say now the "Buggies Unlimited" catalog is as popular as the Cabelas catalog in my house. The guys put a radio/CD player..lights, windshield/mirrors/ hub caps/new simulated wood dash board and steering wheel/and a rear seat. They went to town on it, and I love it! My husband wants to put a lift in it this winter...personally I would prefer to keep it the way it is.
Of course having the shop makes this a bit easier than it might be otherwise.
Even if we left it the way it was..the body was in great shape, and the engine was good. We did replace the battery, other than that..a tune up and it was good to go.!
I would love to give it a bit more of Disney theme..all I have is a Mickey Antena..and a FW license plate.

Unless you thank it will make it to hard to get in to you will like it lifted. But then I have lifted every truck I have ever owned. I did the same thing bought a used cart. Lifted it, painted it, (to match my truck) recovered the seats, built a front bumper for it, put receiver hitches on it for a winch, put in a cd player. Its about as addicting as Disney, camping, 4wheeling, its just one more thing to keep throwing money at. There is still more I want to do to it.

I was actually worried about ...I know this sounds nuts and I'm sort of embarassed to say..but the center of gravity changing and it being prone more to a roll over or a tip over. Not that I'm a nutty crazy driver..but I do have a 16 year old. Honestly he hasn't given me any reason to think he's been zipping around too fast...he's been responsible with it to date. Only I have had enough kids to know..that he's a boy..and boys behind the wheel, well they just take chances they shouldn't, and I worry he will go a bit too fast around a corner and wind up turned upside down.

I know..I know, I worry about things like that. can't help it...comes with being a mom. Truth be told, he hardly camps with us any more..so I don't know why I'm hesitating really.

I can understand that. I rolled a lifted 4x4 truck while off roading when I was younger. As far as the cart goes the tires are so much wider and the lift kit made the front of my cart wider. So the cart still fills very stable. I am more careful with it now that its lifted then I was before. Just wondering what brand is your cart. Mine is a YAMAHA.

It was cute, they even hand made all the stickers on the sides from the movie. I should have got a close up of it. You know FW security, they won't let you have just eyes. They have stopped us before....

Thats a cool cart me and the DW thought about doing that to ours. But it was easier to paint it like our truck.
