So sorry to hear about your Grandma Danielle. It's never easy.
On a lighter note, I feel as though we were destined to be friends. You've referenced Boy George, drag queens, and you like to hang out with scrappy short people? We'd totally get along.
Sorry that the Universal day was a bit of a bust. At least Farrell got to see Potter land though! You're a good friend to take her.
Can't wait to hear more!
Thank you. It's not going to be easy, but we'll work through it.
I think we were destined to be friends! Nice picking up on my Boy George reference. Seriously, I was obsessed with him when I was like five years old. I'll Tumble For Ya was like my favorite song ever! Oh, and Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? Best ever. Good thing we live in the same area. We will have to meet each other sometime soon.
I hope you can get the perfect set up for your grandmother. It is hard to think about changing the lifestyle of someone who has loved and nurtured her family for so many years, and now she is the one who has to be taken care of.
It's been a long time since we've been to Universal. I'm guessing my kids were about 12, 9, and 5 when we went last, but I really don't have any great desire to go back as of yet, and none of them have suggested it. Even Drew, who I thought might like it for all the thrills rides, is happy just sticking with Disney stuff the few times he goes with us.
Yummy stuff at Boma -

. I recall the roast being delicious!
It's been difficult for us and for her to handle as well. She knows that we'll do what's best for her though. It just might be a tough decision.
I went for a long time without going to Universal, and then when the whole Harry Potter thing came to be, everyone wanted to go when we went down, so I had to accommodate. I think we're probably going back next July too.
I love Boma, it's one of my favorite restaurants for sure. I love going there.
When I go back and read it I realize how little we really got accomplished. It's a good thing we're such laid back people, otherwise it would have felt like it was the biggest bust ever.
I'm glad that I can always make you laugh. I'm just a dork really.
hey... catching up on 20 + pages...
Before I forget I'm sorry about your Grandmom... That's really hard for her and for you and your family... making those decisions is really difficult...
You ladies have quite a bit of fortitude..

... you manage to have quite a bit of fun with the adult beverages... and get quite a bit done as well...

Hmmm... maybe there is a correlation...
Dying to go to the Cava in Mexico...what did you also call it , the Ditch? I haven't heard/read that before...
I love, love, love Yeti's perspective on all of this...
How did you get Yeti up with Mickey in Epcot on that ship???
Will have to read about what you get up to in Paris...
That's okay, it takes time to get caught up on these things, I know.
Thanks for saying that about my Grandma. It's been difficult to navigate, but we'll get through it.
There is a correlation between the consumption of libations and the quantity that you can accomplish while drinking.
I cannot remember who called it the Ditch. I think it was Mary Ellen (MEK), but honestly, I can't remember. She can correct me if I'm wrong. It's just a term that people in the DIS use, because that location is kind of like a Ditch. A little dark. But you should go. Their margaritas are sooooo good.
I had to reach really high to get Yeti in there. Fortunately, I'm pretty tall, so it worked out. I'm pretty crafty.
