Not offended in the least, need_a_Disney_fix. I understand what you are saying.
The Bush Presidency is done, and no matter what side of the political aisle you are on, further jabs, insults and criticism will not change anything. As he himself said at his last news conference yesterday (which I thought was pretty candid, insightful, and even eloquent, for him!), he will be "off the stage" when his time is done.
What I don't understand is the attitude that President-Elect Obama is somehow off limits to scrutiny and critique. As an incoming President, his agenda and policies are just being put into place, and they will have a significant impact on us all. So yes, I do think it is fair to assess and criticize the incoming Administration.
