We weren't allowed to say farted when I was young. It was a bad word. :sad2: We could say passed gas. What little kid wants to say that? My grandmother would say fluff. So we thought that was a better response. My younger sister would run round saying sissy fluffed, sissy fluffed.

There's another that says "The Burger Makes The Hat"

Hey Robins..... get tired of the wwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh? Maybe CN doesn't have bring your baby to work week. LOL

Good luck.

When we were growing up, farted was a very bad word. We used "poot" to mean "feces". I never even heard the word "fart" until I was 13 years old, and we were all sitting around in the living room, and suddenly my dad got up and said something "Who the h@$$ farted; if you need to go to the bathroom, go. Don't dry them and blow them out".

Around here, the word "poot" seems to mean the third hole that females have and males don't. At least, that's how some of my female patients refer to it. I was totally lost the first time I heard it used that way when one of my patients was having trouble with her "poot". I had to have her start over and explain in different terms what the problem was, because she was using so many euphemisms and unusual terms, I couldn't figure out what her symptoms were. Not sure if she was having trouble with constipation or gas or what. Turned out she was have trouble with her periods.

no, but reading your tags made me realize the tag fairy needs spellcheck. :rotfl: TF it's connoisseur

psst.. the Tag Fairy is a "Cut and Paste" kind of fairy. The fairy doesn't spell 'em, the fairy just preserves them ;) - signed - *~*The Tag Fairy*~*

And too funny that you would pick up on that, my friend... ha ha!!!! : )

I'm glad I'm not the only one who lived a REALLY sheltered life! I only knew two bodily functions when I was a kid... potty and stinky!... and never even heard the more common names (pee and, well, the other one) until I started school! I don't even remember having a name for pooting. I would guess my mom just called it "gas" and my dad didn't call it at all!

Now I curse like a drunken sailor and *my* kids have heard it all!
