"I never complain - so why did Disney comp our room?" trip report! *UPDATED 10/28*

Umm... speechless here. Are you kidding me? I cannot believe that adults would act that way! Well, yes I can. I've seen it at high school sporting events. It's ridiculous!! I'm like you and would've said something loud enough for "someone" to hear. I'm excited to read about your misfortunes.;)

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: The behaviour of some people is disgusting, especially in an area which is obviously going to be full of children :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
As for the mother whose son spat on her - dreadful. I remember a few years ago at our local park a boy of about 8 ran off from his mum in the dark (it was Bonfire night) when she caught up with him she gave him such a smack across his head - it made me feel sick.
Loving your TR, your daughter is so cute. She still has that baby look about her. My oldest DS (5) lost that a few years ago :sad1: but thankfully I have DS2 (6 months) whose cheeks I can kiss instead :rotfl:

I did cringe a little when she slapped him, but I cringed when he spit on her as well.

And to the man who acted like in the park, I was just amazed, but the more I thought about it, the more I COULD believe it. Some people never fail to amaze me.

I can't believe grown men were acting that way! I bet he was totally embarassed later that night when he realized what he had done.

Question for ya! Did you just feed Gianna food you bought at Disney? Or did you bring stuff from home?

I hope he was embarassed! He needed to be threatening to stab someone at WDW!

We brought Cherrios for Gianna, but that was it. She ate from our plates the rest of the time. But I didnt bring enough Cheerios, so if I had to do it again, I would have brought an entire box. We couldnt find Cheerios anywhere in the parks or the baby care centers!

There are a few more misfortunes coming up, so stick around!! ;)

Day 7 - Part 1

It is the last day of my TR. We had scheduled a late flight today because we wanted to have time to go visit Downtown Disney. Well, after we got in from our wonderful night last night - things started to go downhill. My throat started to hurt a little and so did Mimi's. After getting about an hour of sleep, I realized that would be all that I got, because I was so stuffed up and couldnt breath at all.

I woke up feeling horrible. Gianna had definitely given me her cold. My head felt as if it would fall forward from it being so heavy. And somehow my nose managed to run and be stuffy all at the same time.

I knocked on Mimi's door and when she opened it, I realized she had the same kind of night I did. Her eyes were red and swollen and she was carrying tissues around with her. She had a much worse night than I did. She was so stuffed up in the middle of the night and unable to breath through her nose. It got so bad, she started to feel like she was suffocating and called the desk to ask about the on-call doctor there. That is when they let her know it was around $400. Not going to happen. So she had a doctor call her back. She was crying by this time because she really felt like she couldnt breath at all. The doctor told her what to take and she called a cab and had them bring her to a pharmacy. They were closed when they got there, so they had to go somewhere else.

She got zero hours of sleep and felt horrible and I was regretting my decision to take that later flight now. Gianna is doing better and Matthew doesnt seem to be sick. So we pack up and have to check out of our rooms by 11am. We really just wanted to get back in bed and sleep, but we couldnt, so we decided to go to DTD anyway and try to make the best out of it.

I really wanted to go to Goofy's and try the make your own treats I had heard so much about on here. We stop there and I write down what I want and Matthew does the same and Mimi, Gianna and I go sit down.

I go with the rice crispy treat, dipped in white chocolate, rolled in crushed oreos, drizzled with caramel and milk chocolate.

Here was the end result.

Matthew went for the rice crispy treat, dipped in white chocolate, rolled in peanuts, crushed butterfingers and another kind of nut - I cant remember and drizzled with white chocolate and caramel.

They were huge and looked delicious! We were hungry, but wanted something else to eat at the moment, so we went to Earl of Sandwich. I started feeling really bad at this point. Sick, dizzy, hot - you name it. I told them what I wanted and I went to find a table. I could only find an open table outside. I layed my head on the table and waited for them. Matthew comes out a few minutes later saying they had a table inside.

I have no idea what everyone else got, but I got the Caprese Sandwich - which is tomato, basil and mozzerella. It was soo good. Even though I could barely taste anything.

We head over to World of Disney after we eat to buy a few last minute gifts.

Then I notice...where are our rice crispy treats???

Awesome trip report. You think you are in this magical place when you are at Disney and then someone acts crazy and brings you back to earth!

Happy belated birthday. My 12 year old's birthday is 9/25 too.

We at Le Cellier too. We had ate there last year and LOVED it. This year I ordered the same thing you did and I didn't finsh it because it was so bad. I order the maple creme brulee but they brought me the moose. When I told the waitress the problem she was mad at me.It is off the list for next year.

Im still wanting to hear why they comp your room, I guess I will have to wait til the finial final report

I am loving your TR. I just got caught up from what I missed while I was at WDW. I was there celebrating my 30th b-day too. I can't wait to here the rest.

Love and Hugs

"...it was totally not the right time or the right place to threaten to stab someone..."

You're right. That should only happen in church. :)

That is an awful story. I sure wish I knew what caused him to go off like that!

I am SO sorry you got sick!! That just sucks bad. Especially when you have to fly. All that pressure. And your poor mother, driving all night spending all that money on a cab. You poor guys!

I just found your trip report tonight and I read the whole thing. It is past midnight and I had to stay up and finish. Your baby is soooooooooooo cute. I am really enjoying reading your report. We went in Feb. with our three children. At the time of our trip Courtney was 15, Brennan was 10 and Grace was 7 months old. We had a blast. I can't wait to hear more about your last day. I am sorry you and mimi got sick.

You look so pretty with your glass slipper...that was really sweet. Did your DH do that or does CRT do that for adults with birthdays?

Gianna looks adorable in the Minnie Mouse dress.

So sorry you and Mimi got sick but at least it was your last day thank goodness!

Happy belated Birthday to your 12 year old!!! :goodvibes

Enjoy reading it very much.

Thank you!!

Especiall the story of the luggage.

The luggage was a bad start, but at least it didnt keep going downhill!!

Really? I am glad I am not the only one who didnt get the hype about Le Cellier. I would not eat there again - unless maybe I started eating meat and then I might try it again. But I dont see that happening!

Im still wanting to hear why they comp your room, I guess I will have to wait til the finial final report

It was on day 2 that I put why we were comped. It was because of the whole luggage fiasco!

Happy 30th birthday!!! Did you have agreat time?

Haha - I guess there really is never a good time to stab someone - but Disney of all places!!! :lmao:

I think I can actually FEEL your pain. I know exactly the kind of runny-yet-stuffy nose and sinus pain. Totally sucks.

Dun duh DUH!!!!

It was awful - I had no idea how I could have such a runny nose and my head be so stuffy it felt like it would explode. It was a miserable day!

I am SO sorry you got sick!! That just sucks bad. Especially when you have to fly. All that pressure. And your poor mother, driving all night spending all that money on a cab. You poor guys!

She spent a small fortune on the cab that night. And the flying home made it all worse. My ears were messed up for a week and Gianna got an ear infection!

Thank you!! We really had such a great time bringing Gianna. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My husband is already asking when we are going back!

Thank you! My DH did that - it is not something they just do. You can have it set up, but I am sure you have to pay for it. My DH set it up with our resort for the whole mess with the luggage and they did it all for free! We had a man sitting by us at CRT and he came over and told me he has been to CRT many many times and had never seen anything like that before! :goodvibes

I love it when Gianna is in her Minnie Mouse dress. And lucky for me - Halloween is just around the corner!

Oh ok, I was thinking they comped the whole trip LOL

Wouldnt that have been nice?? We were thinking from the the message the left, they were going to, but nope - just one night! Better than nothing though!
