I need your vote: AK, WL, or Poly

At first, I was set on the Poly for our FTP in October, but I'd really like your opinion as to which of these three would be the most fun for Mom, Dad, 3yr old, and 8 yr old. Also, which has the best pool for kids who love to swim? The WL would be $400 less, but I'm willing to pay more for one of the others if it's worth it.

Absolutely, WITHOUT QUESTION....the AKL...this resort is a destination in and of itself.

Although we are WL vets and return regularly, we are opting to try the Poly on our next visit. We have been hearing such great things about the resort regarding location, decor and pool. We loooovvvve WL, but vote for Poly!

Although we stayed at WL and loved it there were only 3 of us and DD is a tiny 3 1/2 yo. Since you can swing the extra $ I think you should stay with Poly. The rooms there are much bigger than WL and AKL for that matter. The Poly also has the things that I loved about WL like a great pool, a beach, and access to MK and Epcot by monorail and/or boat. Obviously the theming is completely different but I don't think kids would care about that.

I vote for the Polynesin. It has the best location being on the monorail and also the largest rooms and the nicest pool.

I'd also say the Poly. Especially with two kids. The monorail and boat access can make your visit so much more relaxed. I would however take a bus over the the AK Lodge and spend a little time there. The WL is also well worth the journey over. It also will give you a good idea where you want to stay on your next visit to WDW! Have fun planning your trip. The planning part is a big part of the fun and you really can't make a wrong decision so relax.

The Poly seems to take the vote so far. Thanks for the replies. The pictures that I have seen of the guest rooms at the Poly must not do them justice, because I don't think they look all that great, which is why I've been indecisive. Also, I read in the Unofficial Guide that the cars from the speedway have disrupted guests in the past. But my fears must be unfounded, because so many of you seem to love the Poly.

We have stayed at all three resorts and liked the WL the best. The Poly doesn't have a hot tub. The bathroom sinks at the Poly are in the same room, as the stool and bathtub/shower, while the others have the sinks separated from that area. We just plain like the WL the best.

I love WL but have always dreamed of staying at the Poly. I vote for the Poly because of the convenience of the monorail & having young children.

I'm going to bump this because I'm interested in hearing about the noise from the speedway at the Poly. Anyone ever been bothered by it?

AKL is great, we had a wonderful stay with no problems. Bus transportation to anywhere was no problem. The theme of the place is something to see and the BOMA is out of this world.

At least make the BOMA a must stop place to eat if you decide not to stay at the AKL.

We never heard noise from the speed way, I didn't think it was even near if I am thinking what you are thinking. Reason why I loved the poly, the theming, the pool, monorail access, LARGE LARGE rooms and just friendly people who work there no matter where you are.

Sounds like the Poly is the winner of this vote; however, some are very passionate about AKL, which definately peaks one's interest.

Do those Poly lovers think it's worth the $400 more it would be over WL? $400 could buy a lot of meals!
