I need your opinions on this please

Sonya, I bottle fed both of my children and they ate at restaurants whenever we went out if they got hungry. I don't see anything rude about that , and you can also breastfeed as long as is in a discreet manner. I don't see a problem with any of the two issues.

aahmom1, it was a nice family restaurant that we have been to many times before, all the waitresses know us and loved seeing our DS. However it was Saturday night and there were several couples on dates there and I felt they wanted a more grown-up atmosphere.

KathyTX, this is exactly what I was wondering about. I'm worried that he might spit up and someone would see and be grossed out. I figured that while he was learning solid foods that we would only take him to family restaurants that you are used to seeing kids make messes of themselves.

If the couples on dates wanted a grownup atmosphere..you helped to provide that.., what is more grown up than 2 mature adults with a baby...LOL...heck..depending on the age of the mentioned couples..if they were opposed to a baby in the restaurant....seeing the responsibility of taking care of a baby might have encouraged them to behave once they left the restaurant...LOL

Anywhere...Anytime. Both DDs where 'spitup' babies and I still fed them where-ever we were at. Also, DD 'spitup' when she was going on 4 while eating. It was not a pretty site, but that is part of life. DH couldn't believe that I cleaned it up and then sat down to finish eating, as well as DD did...something must have just went down the wrong way, because she cleared her plate.

I agree with everyone else on this one. It is appropirate to feed a baby at even a very nice dining establishment.

Feed him when he is hungry. Bottle or breast, doesn't matter. If he is hungry, he gets fed. I seriously doubt this would offend anyone. ESPECIALLY parents!
