I need to PURGE... anyone want some RAKs?

HAven't managed to get tothe PO as had MAJOR disaster - OK not major, but bad enough. Cooker completely dead - no oven, grill or hob Biggest problem (apart from buying and taking delivery this close to Christmas ) is when the previous owners installed it the put the cooker in then butted the cupboard and worktop RIGHT up to it - so any replacement has to be EXACTLY the same size (to the milimetre) as the old one or it won't fit. All cookers seem to be 600mm - or thereabouts - but vary by up to 7 mm below that. So if its 4mm bigger it won't go in, so we've not only had to measure the width but check for protruding screws

So I'll get there before Christmas if I can but I'm trying to work out how to cook using only a George Foreman, a microwave and a toaster.

ETA - we found a cooker which should fit and I posted the postage today. Hopefully you should get it early in the New Year

oh how dreadful....time to get the slowcooker out....hope the cooker arrives for new year!

Don't have a slow cooker - I borrowed Mums to try once, but wasn't impressed enough to sacrifice the space for it (my kitchen is not big and I get more use out of my breadmaker).

The cooker is being delivered tomorrow afternoon - lets hope it fits ixiedust:

Okay, I have PMd everyone for addresses and everything is boxed up. A handful of things, I didn't have... probably because I grabbed the list off the 1st post/signup page of each swap and there were flakers in the end who didn't send in their stuff. sorry - I hope you didn't have your heart set on them.

Well, this was fun and I plan to see what else my scrap stash reveals... hopefully this weekend I'll see what else is in there!

Okay -- everything is at the PO now! If you haven't sent me postage yet, don't worry - just get it to me when you can. The amount is labeled on the box/envelope.

Everything went priority or first class depending on size, so hopefully you'll have it by Monday or Wednesday at latest. I hope you all enjoy your items. I really almost had a change of heart as I was packing things up, lol, but then I told myself, if I haven't used these things in 2 years, I never will.... If I could only sell all the scrap stuff I've accumulated, I'd probably have enough money for my dream camera... which I was playing with at Best Buy today... DROOL!!!

ETA - my package arrived today! Fantastic! And I don't think I'll need to buy any letters for about 3 years I had no idea what alphastax were, they are awesome. DS(8) has already been picking his favourite colours. If that was only part of your stash, I can see why you thought you might not use it all ;-) rest assured it has gone to a good home, my scrap circle will also be allowed to look through (once I've removed my favourite colours ).
