I need to PURGE... anyone want some RAKs?

I have (ashamedly) used hardly ANY of the items I've received swapping here over the last 3 years. I am trying to purge my scrap stash to focus on photography, and I need to get this stuff out of my house!

So, what I'd like to do is RAK all my swap stuff to anyone that would like them. I'm going to try to list everything I have, but if you scroll through some of the old swap listings, you can see what I have participated in the past. Right off the bat, I know I have stuff from a color kit swap and a cruise swap from last year. I also have stuff from the Lands and Rides swaps from last year (2 years?) and the Toppers and Tags from last year.

Would anyone be interested in this? I also thought maybe to throw it all into a flat rate priority box and send it on to someone else, pizza box style, so that eventually everyone gets to pick.... or else you can just mail or paypal me the postage to get it to you. I'd love to pay for the postage too but I just can't afford that right now.

RAK=Random Act of Kindness (or basically, in all the scrapbook circles I've been in, it's giving away something)

I will dig up everything and post a list so you can pick and choose what you would like -- I guess it would almost be like a swap sign-up free for all, lol... give me a couple days. I have some stuff upstairs and a ton of stuff in my scrap area stashed away.

Now, does anyone know where I should list stuff for sale (other than Ebay because I'm just too lazy to deal with writing all the descriptions and stuff)... I have kits and tools and random stuff...all collected with the intent of using but I probably never will.

I would be interested in a RAK as well. Never done one,but would like to. Also you could try to sell your stuff on Craigs List. It is for local only. Or if they let you list stuff here and let others email you what their interest is and then discuss price thru email not on the board. If that is allowed on the boards. Not sure.

If you don't want to do descriptions on e-bay you could do grab bags - not specify, just say containing x number of items, and maybe theme it. I bought a "mystery box" off e-bay once, which was great fun.

I love colour page kits (not so much pink though having 2 boys ) and will happily send you some $ for postage if you're overwhelmed with stuff to clear out.

I'm not clear on the rules bout selling on here, but I bet its not allowed.

I do admit, I probably won't have enough to go around Before I go any further, I need to say this: if you made something for one of these swaps, PLEASE do not think at all that I do not like what you made. I am not giving these away because I do not like them -- I honestly won't use them because I don't scrap much anymore. In fact, as I'm looking through these, I am wistfully wishing I COULD find the time! So please, I hope I haven't offended anyone by wanting to pass along the great work! Also, some of you may recognize a hostess gift you passed along to me -- again, it's just that I won't use it and I definitely want it to go to good use - so please don't think I am ungrateful.

If you are interested, please reply in this thread with the items that you want so that I can sort them out. Please make sure you read all the replies before yours before responding -- I don't want to go back and have to say no to someone because it's already claimed. I will try to update as we go, but I have had some busy days at work so I might not get to it right away. I do have a paypal account so if you are selecting a handful of items, it should probably fit into a priority mail flat rate envie, and if you want a bunch, a box. If you want just one or two, I can toss in an envelope for exact first-class postage. Please post or PM me with questions, and thanks for helping me purge. I can't believe I still have all this stuff (and I have TWO uncashed checks for postage costs from 2006 buried in here that I found... how sad am I!)

I plan to mail this out AFTER Christmas, just to avoid that whole holiday rush thing, and I will have a few days off to sort and package all this.

Don't feel funny about it at all. Just enjoy it! I honestly need the space back. My DH is tired of looking at my scrap space as a pile of papers and me never doing anything there. I'd be better off converting it to a workstation for my laptop and printer and files.

Just don't even remind me of how much money I've spent on this habit in the past 3 years!
