I Need To Convince Some Friends To Go With Us To WDW

I would LOVE to take a trip with our best friends. This will be our 4th trip. Every time we go, they say, "Again?" I love Mickey Mouse. He's my hero. :earsboy: I have no problem letting my children believe in magic. Our friends are the complete opposite. They'd be the type that if they did run into a fairy they'd say, "There's no such thing as fairies." just to see if it would really die.

So, is there any hope for them enjoying Disney World? They love waterparks, but we are going in December. They would absolutely love Nascar, so I'm sure they would love to do the driving experience. However, when it comes to riding on rides like It's A Small World and Peter Pan's Flight, do you think they will ruin my experience? I think they would love the Christmas activities, the thrill rides, the parades, etc.

Is it worth trying to convince them to go? Is there anyone on here that doesn't believe in magic  but still loves Disney World?

If you find a way to "make" them go will you share it with me? I have a couple fun lovers but "theme park haters" that I can't get to go with us. They would LOVE the whole thing they are just used to roller coaster parks and things.

Before our first family WDW trip I was a little skeptical about spending so much on a trip to an "amusement park". I wasn't dreading the trip, but I wasn't really excited.

The atmosphere that Disney creates, the attention to detail and the customer service really sold me. Most of the attractions are great, but there is so much more to WDW. Everything is done so efficiently.

I would recommend watching the current trip planning video with them, and the Travel Channel specials are also great. I believe there is one this Sunday night.

Good luck!

I think anyone who "grew up" with Disney would enjoy WDW. For others, their mileage may vary.:earsboy:

There are some people that just do not get it - they don't know the magical experience WDW can be. I, too, have family/friends that say "Again?!" and their eyes just glaze over when I try to explain it.

I personally would not try to convince them to go, but let them know the invitation remains open with the hope they decide to give it a whirl. Otherwise, if your friends go and don't enjoy the trip, I think that could interfer with your enjoyment. You may feel responsible for pushing them into going.

I know you'll have a blast whether your friends are with you or not! Have fun!!

I was on Snow White once and put in the same car as a family with a Dad who was sarcastic the whole time. H ewould ohh and ahhh as if he thought it was stupid. When snow white was sleeping, he told his 5 year old daughter that snow white was dead and that was the end. His wife was soooo mad. She did not say a word (then) but I bet he payed for it back at the room.

DH and I got to talking about it. I think they would enjoy WDW. I think the only thing tha they might not like is Magic Kingdom and the "cheesy" rides like It's A Small World and Peter Pan's Flight. I offered. If they want to go, great. If not, I'm really not going to push it.
