I am a student and about to defend my dissertation proposal. Well, this is a study that I have been designing and working on for over a year. If I pass this stage, it is a huge milestone on my way to be a Ph.D. :goodvibes

I need pixie dust to pass, but after that, I want to take a short 4 or 5 day WDW break in May or Early June without the kids or husband to destress and psyche myself up for the rest of the summer and fall (Lots more work to come) The whole family is going to VB in August. I need a break sooner. My husband will say that this is crazy and I can't afford it. (Which, he is sort of right) But, I feel like I can't afford not to go, with as stressed out as I am.

Am I being selfish, My husband makes me feel like that alot when it comes to vacation.

Advice?

Pixie Dust for you! What a wonderful example you are to your children! I say go for it, as far as the mini-vacation, but you know what you can and cannot afford, and you have to live with the guy!

I'd say go for it......:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Well, Best of luck! That is a huge deal. I am sending lots of pixie dust. If you can afford it, take the break...Then blow them out of the water in the Summer and Fall.

:wizard: :genie: :wizard: Taking time for yourself is a good thing, especially after the stress of defending the dissertation proposal. If you can swing it - go for it. Good luck!
