DH & I were talking over the weekend about joining, but i need some help on pricing and just some opinions about it. Can you guys help me out? Just a general idea of what it could cost us and if you think it's worth it...Thanks so much!!! :)

You need to speak with a guide to get the most current pricing and any offers from DVC.

I think you'll find everyone here will say the same thing - buying DVC is a personal choice, based on your travel tendencies, and your families preferences when you travel. For our family, the DVC makes sense, and we wish we'd purchased it sooner. We love staying on property, in a "nicer" room (AKA Deluxe), and we like the option of having a kitchen/living room to relax and kick back on those days we don't want to run so hard and fast in the parks. We love the atmosphere at ALL the DVC properties in WDW, and the price of points made sense to our family when we compared our costs to travel to WDW over the years past, and future.

Good luck in your process! If you have specific questions, I'm sure others will help you here!

I agree, talk with a guide. So much matters on your situation:

1. How many time do you go to WDW?
2. How many times do you vacation?
3. How long are your vacations?
4. How many kids or extra guests?
5. What kind of accomidations are you interested in?
6. What type of hotels

Some general info:
- You get the most benifits out of DVC if you go to WDW often.
- DVC can save you money if you want to do an event with many guests (8-12) occationally at DVC
- DVC has better accomidations that you could find in other hotels such as washers/dryers, kitchens, space...
- DVC hotels are great and most DVC people love it
- DVC has some other nice benifits (AP discounts)

Ditto with Tigger ........

Cost to get in = SSR $101 per point minimum purchase from Disney is 150 points = $15,150 then you get a $8 per pt rebate to apply towards the down payment if you would like $1200. SSR dues are $3.98 per point annually, $597 per year. If you look at the DVC point chart link at the top of the page that will give you an idea of how many points need for your stay. Then you can base a purchase off of this.
