We have reservations at the GF dec. 3-8, this may be the only time we can afford to do this and it is during the Christmas season. No discount.

I can get Old Key West studio suite with the new discount that is out, with the dining, so I need lots of help deciding what to do.

We will be celebrating our 8th anniversary while there and thought the GF would be more romantic, but we could save about $200.00 by staying at OKW.

HELP, HELP I dont know what to do. :confused3 :worried:

Any advice, I am listening :listen:

I have not stayed at either place, but if I had the chance to stay at GF, I think I would do it. Close proximity to MK and Epcot and beautiful at the holidays.

You can still get the dining plan if you stay at GF - I didn't think the new discount offered free dining but I don't know.

We've never stayed at OKW, but I'm sure it's very nice. We have stayed at the Grand Floridian twice. We were there last Christmas and it was really nice. They have such nice Xmas decorations. We loved the life-sized Gingerbread house. It is a very romantic hotel. But if you're checking in on December 3 that should be value season for the Grand Floridian. Good Luck with your decision. I'm sure they both would be fine.

If the savings is only $200 and money isn't tight - I'd stay at the GF. JMHO, the location and the Christmas decorations would be worth it.

Good luck with your decision :)

Thanks to everyone for the advice, we decided last night that we would stay at the GF, because its Christmas season and our anniversary. Now if only 58 days and 21 hours would hurry up and get here.:)

We have never stayed at GF but have visited it many times during the holiday season and I think you will really enjoy the Holiday Decorations.

You will LOVE it there for the holidays! We were there last December and it was incredible! The tree in the lobby is beautiful and they had roasted chestnuts outside one year. The gingerbread house last year was beautful. We are going back again this year in late November. Since we stayed there 2 years ago my husband does not want to stay anywhere else. They also have a manager there named D.J who is one of the nicest people in the world! You will have a great time!

I would go with the Grand Floridian I have reservations for December there just to see all the Christmas decorations.
