I agree with getting the second opinion. I'm not sure of the problem, but is there any chance that staying off of it will help? I know that means no dance, too, but at least it means avoiding surgery. Or is it an injury that will not heal itself?
I have hip issues, which is no great surprise since my mom has dual hip replacements. I used to do horseback riding, but had to give it up because I hurt too much. I didn't do it a lot, so it wasn't a big deal, but it was enough to cause a problem and when I stopped the problem went away. I have a feeling I will have a problem when I'm older, but at least I'm postponing it until I'm older.
