I need help finding out who this number is 317-829-0076

This number keeps calling my dd9 cell phone. I have told her not to answer her phone unless she knows who it is. So they usually leave a short/brief voicemail something like please call 317-829-0076. I have tried to call it back many times but always get a recording and put on hold. I know they must have the wrong number. I have searched everywere i could think of on the internet for some information. But i don't really find much except that it is in indianapolis, indiana number. Can anyone help?

Google is saying it's a credit services number. How long has your DD had the number? If she hasn't had it very long, could have been an old number of someone else's that they are looking for. I'd answer, and tell them that they have the wrong number so maybe they stop calling.

It might not be a bad idea to pull a credit report with your DD's ssn. It is probably just a phone number error but the theft of children's ssns is on the rise and better safe than sorry in 10 years when she tries to get her own credit established.

thanks dont know what i was doing wrong to not be able to find the name of the company. But from what i just read it sounds like they are some rude nasty people. They might not stop calling no matter what.

She has had that number for about 10 months, and just right after she got it she was getting collection calls for other people.

Do you have parental controls on your DD's phone plan? I have that on our plan, and I am able to block certain numbers. It only costs 4.95 a month with AT&T.

Or just answer it next time and tell them to put you on their DO Not Call list. They can't call you after that.

This is the same collection/credit card service that called my new cell phone number for months before I got someone to answer their damn phone when I called back. I told them that I was not Amy and to stop calling. The person was a witch with a capital B and insisted I give my name. I asked for a superviser and she refused. I told her that if they called again I would report them.

It does take 24 -48 hours for them to remove the number from their list, but they must stop calling if you tell them to.

Verizon has that, we have many numbers blocked on our son's cel phone.

One day I got a couple calls from an international number. The second time, they left a message. I realized that I still had the automated message playing so I changed it to my name. The guy called one more time, and that was the last of it. But listening to the message sure was

I know with my phones and my kids phones we have an option on the bottom of our phone screens that says either "add to block list" or "block caller". We have AT & T though. No experience with Verizon.

I'd probably call verizm

You can probably go to your account online and it will tell you how to block a number.
