My girlfriend and I are leaving sunaday June 1st for wdw we are staying at WDW for 4 nights then going on the dcl for 3 nights. Because of a conflict we could not go down on saturday and have had to arrive on Sunday June 1st, now of course we can leave on Saturday but disney said the cost of of adding another day at the wl is $359.00 what are some other options I have to take care of everything because of the airline tickets thanks in advance. I'm guessing that all of you would sugguest that we leave on saturday to have a extra day in the parks please any sugguestions on what to do or where to stay that day would be a great help thanks

If I understand correctly, you are due to check in on Sunday but now are flying down Saturday. If it was early Saturday and you'd have a full day at WDW, I'd book one night at one of the Allstars, do an early check-in, have them hold your bags until your room is ready, head to one of the parks, come back to Allstars, sleep and the next morning call the Bellhop at Allstars and ask them to pick up your luggage and transfer it to WL. Then head to the parks and when you are done doing the park that night, head to WL, check in there and pick up your luggage at WL's bellhop.

Now if you were flying in late Sunday night and wouldn't have time to do anything but sleep, I'd find the cheapest offsite non-Disney hotel I could get, book it for one night, get up the next morning and head on over to WL, have them hold your luggage until later in the day when your room was ready and then head to the parks.

Good Luck.

I read your post the same way as TeenaS and would have made relatively the same suggestion. If you don't get a lot of response, it's because the above is the best solution.

Are we reading your post right?

yes you have both read correctly I'm as of right now to arrive at MCO at 10:00am sunday june 1st. which is the first day package, but because something we were doing on saturday may 31st has been canceled we are looking into going down saturday instead so we have more time and aren't as rushed on the first day.

I'd say if you're in even by mid-afternoon, there's still plenty of time to dig into Disney. I always like getting in early afternoon, running a liesurly pace until around 4, then head over to Epcot. We try to make a PS for the Rose and Crown for aroudn 7:30 and try to get on the porch for Illuminations. It gets you right into the Magic, yet it's not an energy consuming event after the effort to get there. Also, the least crowded park on a Saturday is going to be Epcot. Keep that in mind. I may be the only one, but I'm not going to bust hump down to Orlando and throw myself right into Saturday night at MK.

As for hotels, if you stay at the Allstar, I THINK you can just extend a length of stay pass another day, allowing you to go where you want. If you're on a hopper and don't get in early enough to take advantage of another day of hopping (which you'd do by trading in your four day hopper for credit and buying a five day), then think about a Downtown Disney Hotel (Grovesnor has great rates right now and is a ten minute walk from the Marketplace). Check in, hit DTD, shop, relax, have a bite to eat at Wolfgang Pucks, then head over to Pleasure Island around 7. Now THAT'S a great way to start a trip....

Questions?

Check mousesavers for a code. Yoy should be able to get an All Star resort for $74 [room only] for Saturday night.

mustang5999, I think your change of airline itinerary cost might weigh more than the cost of a hotel for the night. I don't think there are any codes for that period out right now. Most booking had to be done a couple weeks ago. Will you be renting a car? When I called for rates at All Star for 6/2, I was told best available was $99. For my money I'd pay the extra $40 to stay at Swan/Dolphin if that was available. If for some reason you could only get a flight Sat night, I'd just use priceline to stay at a hotel at the airport - that would cost about $40 (total incl taxes and fees) then tranfer a check into WL bright and early at 8AM Sun.
