Hi Hi Everyone!:goodvibes

Hope Your weekend was Great! Why do they pass so fast?

In October our annual passes expire. What is the best way to renew them?

I've read about people getting incentive offers of a discount to renew from Disney. Is this still happening? When do those usually come out, a month before expiration or a month after?

Canyon Girl told me that Costco had a Deluxe annual pass with a 50 gift card.

I went to our Costco saturday but they only had the multi pass pack for universal, disney ect.. No Deluxe annual pass with a gift card. Are these only in certain areas?

Thank You for helping me with this. It's our first year for reneal and I have no clue what to do.:confused3

Yes they offer a discount on renewal. You'll be able to see the online renewal in your account, you should get an email, and you should get snail mail as well. Well, at least, that's all that we got!

If you're going right at that time, it can make sense to renew. You get to choose (from their choices) what goes on your AP card, and that's fun. PLus it's about a $20 savings.

However, if there is no trip right around then, renewing can end up not saving you money...ours ended in mid-September, and I had nothing planned until early November, so it made no sense to pay for that 1.5 months of planned nothing. DS and DH had absolutely nothing planned at that time, so it made less sense for them.

The So Cal Costcos (and at least one that is officially northern by CA residents, it seems, up near Fresno) are the ones that have the AP vouchers. They just changed the expiration date for the vouchers, and it's oct 31, I believe. You pick up the vouchers, go to the ticketbooths, get your AP (they keep your info and picture for a good amount of time, and while the ticket booths don't have cameras, they can print the AP out from existing info) rightt here, and that's where they keep the giftcards as well.

Overall, if you're going to be there in time to use those vouchers, you'll make out better with the Costco voucher...sure, the AP is not at the renewal rate, but you get that $50 per AP giftcard, which decreases the total cost of your trip.

NOw, I'm still kinda hoping that they'll do that really cool special they did last year, with Deluxe APs for purchase online for $30 off, but I'm not holding my breath. :)
