I need a hug... UPDATE...

Ok guys! I need a hug I found out last night that a friend of mine, who I just talked to a few nights online ago was found dead by her mom yesterday morning...they think it was a suicide.. She was a baby herself, 26 I think, She left behind 3 beautiful babies under the age of 5...I am still in shock.. she loved her babies and I cant believe she would actually do something like this....

Any possible way that it could have been postpartum depression? Just trying to think of a possible answer. Even though, that answer won't ease the hurt.

I am hoping it was an accidental OD( although I dont know HOW she died yet) but from the events that I heard happened Sun night.. I doubt it...

The holidays are particularly hard on those who are depressed & highlights the differences between a "perfect" life and the lives of those whom aren't as fortunate. I'm so, so sorry she may have been pulled down into this and feeling she had no way to fix what's gone wrong. (To anyone who might be feeling awful this season: know that there's always a way! Never give up!)

Don't kick yourself for not doing more or seeing the signs - sometimes we just have to accept what's happened & build from there. to her babies...

FWIW: Twelve years ago yesterday, we got a similar phone call about my dh's 24 year old cousin. To this day, we do not know why he took his own life (although we have suspicions, it's not the same as knowing). The shock and horror can be overwhelming at first, and the wondering, "Why didn't I know/see?" The one thing that helped me was hearing from a nurse who does psychiatric nursing that people who truly intend to take their own lives, just do it and there is often no warning, nothing to 'see' or 'know'.

None of us knows how long we have on this earth. Seemingly healthy people can be harbouring deadly diseases. It's very hard to gauge another's mental anguish if they don't share their struggle with us. Whatever happened to your friend, I hope you can find peace with it.
