I must be doing something wrong

I can not get a part-time job anywhere!!!! McDonalds even turned me down and I'm at a loss. I worked at Subway last spring had to quit when daughter was diagnosed with Grave's disease and then 6 weeks later so was my son. (lots of running to Children's Hosp. in Pittsburgh) They are both stable now and I'm itching to do something during the day. Maybe its my personality, I'm just to bold and outspoken at times.

hmmmm...the mall stores should be hiring soon for the holidays - have you thought about doing that? Maybe they see you as not flexible in the hours you're available? (only weekday middle-of-the-day hours).

Sorry to hear about your children,
I hope they continue to do well.

I was thinking now that school & college has resumed,
that there may be some retail positions open?
Have you tried the mall or chain stores?

I'm also thinking McD's hires/recruits seniors,
(not that it's ok to discriminate against you)
but maybe they "keep" positions open/limited hours
to accomodate them?
I know they really make an effort to fit seniors in
here in our area.
