I missed the Dr's call with test results!

You guys are wonderful. Thanks so much for asking. Yes, the doctor called me this morning. I have a "complex ovarian cyst". I've read up on it some, and it can be anything from not that big a deal, to ovarian cancer. I'll have another sonogram next week. You cannot imagine how unbelievably scary this is. I have a 12yr old and nearly 9 yr old... I keep imagining the worst case senario. Worrying is such a waste of time. Why do I do this too myself? Anyway, please continue the prayers. I sure can use them.

Hugs and prayers to you:hug: :grouphug: I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is no big deal.

Prayers your way. I had a complex ovarian cyst when I was 17. Actually, it was so large...10cm in diameter...they called it a "tumor." I had to have it, along with my right ovary and right Fallopian tube removed. (I know...too much info!) It was completely benign (and I went on to easily conceive 3 beautiful sons in later years.) I will pray you have the same benign outcome...just the fact they called it a cyst and not a mass would make me feel better.

Prayers for you. The not knowing is the worst part and causes the most worry. Good luck to you and be careful surfing the internet.

:grouphug: Sending you prayers and hugs from the six little bears

My thoughts and prayers are with you ElizK!

Worrying is natural, but keep your concern in perspective...it's probably a benign cyst. Most of the time, these are taken care of through a laparoscope under general anesthesia, a pretty short day surgery procedure. The cyst is either drained, or the ovary can be removed, along with the Fallopian tube. No hormonal issues, as long as the other ovary and tube are intact.:) It's a pretty common thing.

Anyway, prayers and pd being sent for a good result on your ultrasound next week.
