ok, i was under the impression, if i had a hopper pass, i could get from park to park using the disney transportation system, which is supposed to be free, and included in the park hopper pass, a friend of mine just got back from there, and tells me the disney transportation does not take you from park to park, it only takes you from your hotel to the park, and if one wants to do park hopping you either have to have a car, or get a taxi....is this true?? disney does not have its own transportation to get you from park to park???? that sucks.if that is so... whats up with that???

Your friend is wrong. You can't go from DTD to the parks but Disney has transporation between the parks. The buses form the MK leave from the TTC so you'll have to take a ferry or monorail first.

Yes, you can go from park to park. You just have to know how to do it. You can take the monorail between Epcot and MK. You can take a boat from Epcot to MGM(stopping at S/D, BW and Y/B). YOu can also go to the TTC, as the previous poster said, and catch a bus. And you can get a bus from any resort to a park. You can only get to AK on a bus. It beats driving!

Relax and don't stress. Disney has this transportation thing very well coordinated. You will find the transportation far easier than you expected. Enjoy!

We go to Disney at least 5 times a year and they DO have free transportation bus or monorail. They have a bus to go directly to each park except for the Magic Kingdom, there you have to take either the boat or monorail. No worries.

Disney transportation is great! We've never rented a car, and don't miss it either. Maps are self-explanatory and CMs happy to explain anything if you're not sure. Don't stress yourself - it's a complete doddle!

I thought I read on another thread that you could take a bus directly from a your WDW Resort to MK entrance without stopping at TTC. Is this incorrect?

Yes, you can take a bus directly to MK from your resort. Some busses stop at other resorts that are nearby. I think the original question was how to get from park to park.
