... the beds are worrying me!
I have read on the boards a few comments about how bad the mattresses are at the Dolphin and as I suffer with my back and need a fairly firm mattress I'm a bit concerned about this for our trip in December, as it is 15 nights.
We have stayed at the Dolphin once before, in May '99 and I remember how saggy the mattress was, if they haven't changed them since then, they will be in a sorry state! We actually ended up asking for a roll-away and I slept on that, but really, spending 15 nights in a deluxe hotel I don't expect to have to sleep on the roll-away!
We have also stayed at DXL and found the mattress there absolutely fine - I don't need a rock hard one, just a reasonably averagely firm one. I don't usually have problems in most hotels so it's not as if I need to sleep on a board!
We do love the Dolphin, especially the views, but if I don't get much sleep I won't be a happy bunny!
So.... come on, be honest, all those who've stayed at the Dolphin, how was your mattress? Just trying to work out whether this is a problem throughout the hotel or just something you MAY enounter?
Thanks
