This just made me laugh, remembering our first (and only, so far)
disney cruise. DH (who was DF at the time) and I went on the Magic in 1998, after she'd only been sailing about 2 months. obviously disney didn't have the details worked out yet, because on the day we docked in Nassau, they seemed to expect everyone to get off the ship - all of the restaurants and entertainment venues were closed for the afternoon and evening because they gave the crew the night off.

All they had to eat was a disgusting barbecue up on the top deck. So, we were pretty hungry that night! We had a friend with us who was vegetarian and there was literally nothing for her to eat all trip except rice and vegetables; on the last night she begged our server for something different and he got the chef to whip her up some cousous thing that turned out to be inedible. i don't know for the life of me why we didn't order room service, but maybe it wasn't available all the time either, or maybe we just didn't know about it, as it was our first cruise ever.
we were so "traumatized" we didn't go on another cruise until 2006, and only did so then because we wanted to go to the Galapagos and cruising is the best way. after the wonderful Galapagos trip, we were hooked, and have been on 5 more cruises and hoping to give disney another try with a 3-day dream cruise in october. i'm presuming at this point they've got the food and entertainment worked out....
that said, i read that crazy cruise critic review about the dream and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. totally ridiculous.
