We were flying home from Orlando to NY on Jan 12, 2008. Our 3:10pm flight was delayed due to mechanical problems (finally cancelled around 7pm that night).

We went right up to the desk and very quickly our boarding passes were transferred to get us home on a 4pm flight. Although there were some very rude and angry people shouting at them, I felt the JetBlue ticketing agents handled everything very well. I couldn't have been happier just to get on a flight home.

Today, I checked my email, and although we never complained or asked, we were each sent a $100 voucher from JetBlue!

What a surprise! And best of all, we are planning our return to Disney in September and $400 will really help. :)

I know JetBlue is having financial trouble, but I would hate to see a carrier like that go out of business. I think they do a really great job at servicing their customers.

I do too, but mostly for cheap rates, TVs, and blue chips.

great to hear !! we are flying jet blue in may.. got a pretty good rate and I like that we dont have a layover. very kid friendly

I have always loved JetBlue, but it seems to me like in the past year, I can get much lower fares with other airlines. I do tend to travel during the busy, school vacation times, but $600 rountrip from the NY area to MCO as opposed to $300 with another carrier, such as AirTran, makes me love JB a lot less! Also, I recently called to get credits with JB, as my airfare went down about $100 total. JB now follows typical airline protocal of charging $40 per seat to change the reservation. I understand that all the other airlines have been doing this, but these little things that made me a loyal JB customer for years have quickly made me go to another carrier. Really, what is the benefit then of booking earlier with JetBlue if the cost will be more? What a shame. I used to always make JB my first choice. Not anymore.

I haven't heard that they are in trouble but did hear a month ago or so that there was interest in buying them from Lufthansa or one of the huge European companies...

Love Jet Blue. Honestly, if their cost is within my budget I go for it-I flew AA over MLK weekend and missed Jet Blue fiercely-I'm so happen they started BOS-ORD non-stop.

I totally agree! Their fares for the NYC/Long Island spring break is $698 rt per person. Ridiculous, especially when I paid that for my WHOLE family in November. Booked with Southwest and paid $295 rt per peron. That is like 2 for the price of 1 plus some.:sad2: All of Southwest's planes are full and sold out. All of Jet Blue's flights are still available. That tells you something.

Absolutely!!! JB should be looking at their availability and then rethink their fares.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who think being abusive to the agents is going to get them where they want to be. :confused3

I agree. If anything, I was only nice to the customer service rep. I spoke with about the newly imposed fee regarding price/flight changes. It's not their fault....it comes from way up above.

What I love about Jet Blue is that when you buy a fare for a certain time-that is the time and flight you get! 8 out of 10 times I've flown with any other carrier in the last 10 years-my flight times change as it gets closer to the date of travel. That makes me SOOO mad!!!:headache: Usually it creates a real problem for me. It feels like bait and switch! I understand weather issues-but I think the other carriers cancel flights that aren't very full etc. When I buy my ticket-I want the time I've bought!

And I love Jet Blue's direct SYR to MCO flights-2 1/2 hours and you're done!
