I Love Frozen Blueberries :)

I was wondering that too, but figured I asked enough questions. lol After all, honey is made from pollen.

I always thought the phrase "made with real honey" was just an expression, like "I'm walkin' on sunshine." I can't imagine cereal is made with actual honey. I'm sticking with my theory that FC makes his cereal vegan by adding extruded bean curd rather than cow's milk.

Many plants you might eat are pollinated by bees though. Should you not eat plants that may have had help from a bee? The honey thing just doesn't make sense to me.

WHOA. BLUEBERRIES are cross-pollinated by BEES! The machinery of blueberries is lubricated with the blood of honeybees.

A lot of people on my little thread, like blueberries and fruit :goodvibes Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: I also eat a lot of other fruits  Fruit is cute ;)

I also think Raspberries are cute :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

There's quite a bit of fruit talk on this thread, that's for sure.

I didn't know that. What about clothing? (Wool is all I can think of at the moment.)

Well, I made up that bit about the pillows, but it stands to reason that if there can be a Vegan cereal, there can be a Vegan pillow, no?

Also, no leather or fur or skins of any kind (snakes, gators, eel, etc.).

Well, I wasn't considering the type of milk he added. That I automatically knew wasn't cows milk. I figured soy milk to be honest. I was thinking he meant the actual cereal itself.

So, is cereal from a box vegan or not automatically. Are we right in saying no honey flavored cereal?

Soooooo, you are pretty much just left with drinking water than, aren't ya? That's it. I would never make it as a vegan.

What about polyester made from oil that has the blood of oil nations on it? Does that count? ;)

Really?

I have a step sister-in-law who is a vegetarian, and its always a challenge for me to make a meal when she is here. I want to make something she'll enjoy, yet I'm a meat & potatoes gal. So, I'm always trying to learn. I do know that she will eat something if it has eggs & milk in it though. (I think I got that right.)

So, I can feed her cereal with soymilk & I'll be safe. lol

I'm a vegetarian and I eat any type of cereal with nonfat milk :) I have a serious craving for cereal now...

Anyway, I just searched "vegan cereal" and there was a bunch of discussions about an issue with vitamin D and something else. I don't understand it really?? I would die without cereal, honey, eggs, milk.

now you're messing with me. I don't know what to believe. Is it all a marketing ploy? Slap vegan on the package & charge more?

No wonder I worry about what to make for my step-SIL when she comes over. The girl is a twig. I don't want her to starve while at my house. :)

That article mentioned bees are being used to pollinate an almond crop. Whoops! There goes almonds!

soylent green, like real soy, is naturally high in protein. also keeps burgeoning population in check.

My other posts are in jest, and human contribution to the bee disease is only one of many theories, but seriously, bees are a huge industry not just in honey making but in pollinating tons of fruit crops. Produce prices will likely spike --- (edited to add Splash beat me to this point).

Vegan pillows, disappearing bees, hamster powered vehicles ... I don't who or what to believe now. What's the world coming to?
