OK, my next dumb question then. What animal products are in cereal?I'm thinking its lots of grains & nuts. But I'm guessing I'm wrong.
I know count chocula is made from horse poop. I don't even want to tell you what frosted flakes are made with![]()
OK, I've been wondering this for toooooo long. WHAT IS VEGAN CEREAL?![]()
Why would cereal have animal products in it?![]()

Check out the label of Corn Chex![]()
I've been looking up cereal ingredients too & I haven't found one yet that has an animal product in the ingredient list.Lots of grains, corn, starches, sugars & sometimes soy & nuts. No milk or eggs.
FC can you enlighten us as to what cereal you have found that has animal products in them? Obviously you've done your research & you would know more about this than I. I know alot of people have to read the ingredients panel for allergies & diet restrictions, but I would never have thought cereal had any animal products in it. Learn something new every day.
Obvious you use soy milk in your cereal. I've tasted vanilla & chocolate soymilk...and was QUITE surprised at how good it was. I expected it to be alot worse to tell you the truth. I would have no problems using soy milk in my cereal or cooking. NOT so sure I could drink a glass straight, but I can't drink a glass of cow milk straight either. lol I have to put chocolate in it.
Honey.
Well there ya go. See, I knew there had to be one. OK, so its just a few cereals then that vegans don't eat. Thanks, I was thinking more along the lines of a main ingredient & couldn't figure it out.
By the way, I edited my post. I read something else about vegan cereal and the whole issue of vitamins in regular cereals.
They don't kill or restrict bees at all. Why would vegans be opposed to a symbiotic arrangement? I can see excluding things that exploit animals but bees are busy doing bee work and beekeeping gives them a safe place to do that.
