I love credit cards so much!

@Lain - Card came in and the UPS envelope was all torn up. Little box inside was fine. Looks like it is on the card it should be on as it has the PayWave (I think that is what its called) symbol. Time to meet spend.

Was your SPG/Marriott number printed anywhere on it? I have to relink mine as its not working.

Sounds like the new card. The lettering and numbers on the new card are also printed on, not embossed. (Not that it really matters.) My SPG/Marriott number was no where on the card.

Got a couple mailers today for DH...

Citi thank you premier 60k bonus

And

Some weird black card MasterCard that appears to be from Barclays. It looks like you get a 1.5x redemption even when you cash out....that’s intriguing. I have never heard of this card though.

Others have told you how silly that black card is, but I'm very envious of your TY Premier mailer. Those mailers are much less common than the AA ones, and it allows you to bypass the 24-month restriction just like the others. TY points are hard to accumulate. If you ever go past 5/24, it's a great offer.

Luxury Card usually has a big billboard advertising their fancy sh*t cards right near SFO heading up 101 towards the city. Gotta hook those gullible prestige seekers with the shiny when they’re weary from traveling and/or stuck in traffic, right?
There were one or two in Boston last year. It made me giggle inside...then I hit traffic and it was just staring me in the face.

Good to know since either DH or I received it also.

Who has suggestions for a 5 day girl (4 - 40 something ladies) trip the first week in December? Somewhere Southwest flies so I can use my companion pass for the last time to help my friend out. Right now thinking Seattle or San Francisco, though I requested somewhere warm.

Florida....Marco Island, Ft Myers Beach, West Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale....etc

For some reason Vegas flights for the day we are leaving were extremely high. That is why that was left off the table.

These were more like my suggestions! Even though I hate the beach, lol, I do love the sun and warm. But one of the ladies despises the heat and she requested no Florida. We all say it doesn't matter, then when a suggestion is thrown out, one of us vetoes. lol 2 of the 4 of us are very much on a budget and 1 has offered to pay for an Airbnb for all of us, which will help a lot.

SW flies to plenty of locations in the Caribbean (Punta Cana, Cancun, Jamaica, etc) and the Mexico on the Pacific (Cabo, etc). You could probably also find a short cruise out of FL.

December in Florida isn’t hot hot....and usually no humidity...or maybe someplace more north..my sister lives in St. Augustine ....it’s a cute town

San Diego, Nashville, New Orleans, Charleston or even Phoenix (it won't be a 120 degrees at that point :)) Or maybe Austin? It has a fun, lively downtown area and then there is shopping not so far away.

Dang, all you lucky people with those mailers!

Just remember, it always depends on your goals, but generally this card is not worth it if you're under 5/24. If you're over, make sure you use the public Citi offer first of 60k/$4k, wait 60 days, then use your mailer.
Thanks! I would not have known that otherwise. Citi sent me one for 50k and another 60k. We also have a mailer from Venture for60k with $3k spend and BOA Premium Rewards for 50k with $3k spend. The BOA actually looked interesting since it has $100 annual travel statement credit which basically negates the $95 annual fee.

Seattle and SF will not be warm in December. Maybe Santa Barbara wine country? Although the grape leaves will probably have fallen off for the season, the food and wine’s always good.

I'm also shocked at that one...that release is much more delayed than normal, and even then they are barely getting back up to 6 months of inventory available. Maybe they will further update it and release more flights on that same date...It is something to keep an eye on for sure.
I think maybe they are waiting to be able to load Hawaii flights.

San Diego is great although San Fran better for foodies IMO.

DH has the BOA card. I wanted some cash back for cruise, so applied for this one. You can deposit directly into a BOA savings account which you can set up online. The only problem I have is that rewards can only be cashed out in $25 increments. I’ve been at 20+ for a few months since we’re not putting much on it. Gotta get DH to apply for GE before we cancel the card.
