I don't know if this was posted before but i suggest if you have any AMEX cards
check your offers. Right now i got 2000 points for 50 dollar AMZ spend on all 3 of
my Amex and 2 of my husbands. Also got buy 30 dollars at Sams club. com and
get 15 back on all FIVE also. I know for a fact this wasnt there yesterday because
i checked all day. LOL. The amazon one I just bought netflix gift cards to prepay
and the rest AMZ gift cards to be used later. The easiest and fastest 10,000 points
ever for me. The sam's club is easy im just getting disney gift cards.

Yes, I would rather keep the URs and transfer only what I actually need. What time does the booking window open? Midnight? Sometime in the morning? I want to make sure I am up and ready to go to get this all done as easily and quickly as possible.

ETA: I am on Eastern time.

Usually between 7am and 8:30am they will release flights but it has been earlier and later than that at times.

This is interesting... our reservation is from a placeholder, the ILs is not. Right now our cost with the placeholder discount is $4207 plus we get the $100 on board credit. Price has gone up a bit and with losing the placeholder, new cost is $4858. If we redeemed all $1400 in UR points on it, it'd bring it down to $3458, but we're only 'saving' $750 by using 95k UR points... I don't know if I could bring myself to do that!

Yeah that doesn't sound like a good idea. I'll admit math isn't my strong suit (although I do realize it can be my friend, so I try ) but seems like it'd be better to take the UR as a credit on the existing reservation than rebook a new one at the higher price. If you don't wind up using them for ancillary charges like air or hotel like you discussed in a previous post, which at this point probably seems like a better option.

That's the problem with DCL, it's rare to find a price drop so you basically want to book opening day and then not touch it ever. It's better to figure out how to get the Sun to revolve around the Earth than modify a DCL booking sometimes. Ours is still the placeholder, we're getting a little priced out of DCL so we bought the placeholder but aren't sure if we're going to use it yet. But we did it in Jan and I think the 30 day window still applies to transfers to a TA on the placeholder itself. But I also admit I haven't been over on the DCL board in a while and we never had the desire to transfer a DCL ressie to a TA so I didn't keep up on all the recent changes. (since TA's aren't supposed to be able to discount and the ones I'm comfortable with don't do much OBC, I get better discounts doing the GC game with less stress; go figure)

For those that sell kids stuff on Facebook, EBay, etc., do you sell seasonally or as you clean stuff out? I have winter clothes and Halloween costumes DS has outgrown. Trying to decide whether I post them now or wait until fall.

I sell at a local consignment sale and they do the sales 2x/year (Usually March/April for spring/summer stuff and August for fall/winter stuff). I would follow that, or you could be like most retail stores and start listing things approx 2-3 months before it's needed, like start listing halloween beginning/middle of August.

@gottalovepluto explained how to use more than one CC on sam's online on the Disney Gift Card thread. Not sure if you can use 3??

I inputted my cc info and then clicked add and added in my second card and then I clicked both boxes next to the cards and it popped up with a screen allowing me to charge exactly what a I wanted on each card after I clicked continue on the order I think. Each card was charged the appropriate amount. No email confirms from amex yet.

I saw others did it on DoC so i tried it myself. Fwiw no one on DoC has received Amex offer used confirmation emails yet.

Well i just went to the disney gift card thread. Some are getting dis cards but others have posted about getting 30 dollar sams club card.
I just called Sams Club.com about negative reviews regarding their gift cards. She responded people don't follow directions o as you
have to go through the activation email or in your letter.

So check if you are in the state that you don't pay the non member fee. Maybe get the Sams gift cards so you can use at Walmart.

Ditto My mom's got a membership so I've been saving up Walmart gift cards to eventually use her account to get discounted gift cards. This AmEx offer makes that a little faster now.

It was on my Everyday card. Nothing on SPG Biz but I think there reports of it being on some SPG personals. I haven't bugged hubby to check his Green or BCE cards yet.

I have it on my PRG my blue cash preferred and My regular green one.
My husband had it on his Prg and blue card. Keep checking. Someone posted on
another blog a few days ago about these offers coming up and i checked constantly
and NADA and this morning they all appeared. And i hardly ever get anything lol

I was looking for the Amazon one so was surprised to see that and Sams pop up.

Exactly - it’s amazing!

I did one for me at the same time as another AMEX app in case it triggered a hard pull (it didn’t). Next time my wife signs up for a card I’m going to refer her for sure.

DCL is pricey compared to others... DH is pretty stuck in Disney or why bother with cruising right now, which is very silly because we've been on one 3 night cruise with Disney and no other cruises! I do think I've finally convinced him to try out another line and do an itinerary like Alaska or something around Europe. I think I'll just stash those UR points for hotel and such... that's like double their value then (at the normal 1.5cpp )
