Have any of you downgraded from the Disney Visa premier back to the regular? I have an upgrade offer, with a $50 credit to offset the annual fee, and I am thinking of doing it, since we have a trip fall 2018. But I would want to downgrade back next year, as I haven't paid a fee since I got the card in 2003 and I don't want to start now. I am wondering if they are ok with downgrading and if it messes anything up?
Thanks!
I've had the regular Disney Visa for years, but a couple of years ago instead of upgrading to the Premier, I just opened a new account. The current offer on the Disney World website is a $200 statement credit after you spend $500 in the first three months of account opening. That's a much better deal than the $50 credit they offered me to upgrade. I kept the card for a year and when the next annual fee came due, I closed the account (after spending all the accumulated rewards first). I keep my regular no-fee Disney Visa for the discounts, but rarely use it for charging.
