Restaurants. Copies Chase Freedom and what ive heard Blue cash is 10% until august?

i think there should be something new. the 100k through BRM exist since march when CSR went down to 50k. also works around 5/24 as well.

I just read on reddit (as of an hour ago) that it was confirmed in-branch only. Dang, dang, dang. I'm tempted to apply online and then SM asking them to match it. But I hear people don't have much luck doing that.

Thanks but as with all work arounds it's a YMMV. I think I could have a completely different identity and Amex would say, "sorry, no you're 60,000."

DH, OTOH, received a business AmExP special offer with 150,000. Of course he had no interest. I was dying, just dying. ARGH. Even with the devaluation of skymiles that would have been ever so helpful. Ugh.

Absolutely a YMMV but thought I'd post for those who might be interested.

We barely made the spend for the 150k biz card and had to get family members involved to make it happen but totally worth it! I am hoping to use these with the 50% back pay with points benefit. That may even be more effective for you depending on the cost or availability of an award flight with Delta.

Well, crud. I jumped the gun and applied for Ink Preferred online. Got the 30 day message, but when I called the automated it said 7-10 days. SOB. I think I just screwed up, because I just got the CSP and the Freedom last month. Too many.

What should I do? Call and talk to a human? I don't wanna!

it is recommended that u wait till u get ur rejection letter before u call in. if u call in now, they will ask for more details about ur business.

Won't they ask for details when i call in after being rejected? Or is there still a shot I could be approved? I wish I had give more time between my CSP/Freedom before applying for this.

I have property taxes to pay that will take care of the whole spend! Was looking forward to a quick minimum spend with a great bonus. I was also going to call or SM about matching the 100k bonus people are getting in branch.

Give it a couple days and call again. My DH got the same 30 day message when he applied to the CSP. We called the automated line and he was also told 7-10 days. Called again a few days later and it said approved. Don't lose hope!

yes, there is a chance u may still get it. if u get rejected, then u got nothing to lose but to make ur plead. business cards and personal cards are completely different when it comes to recon. personal, u call in, business card, u wait till they reject u. u have a chance of losing if u call in for business cards. unless u absolutely have a legit business, u can take that chance. most ppl will tell u to wait though.

Ok, had to recalculate my 5/24 times because I messed up yesterday... If I got both SW cards, I'd be back under 5/24 in Aug or Sept 2018.
I think we're going to try for the SW Companion Pass. I'd like to try for the business card and one of the personal cards, because then we wouldn't need any additional points from spending to get the pass (60k business card + 50k personal referral offer). I've got a couple questions.

I think I'll probably just apply for one after the other. Will the business card go against my 5/24 status? I'm at 4/24 right now, which is why I'd do them together... My understanding is that they'll look at 5/24 for the business card, but if I'm approved and then apply for a personal card later, I will still be considered 4/24. I mainly ask because after SW cards, I would be out of luck with Chase for two years (hindsight is 20/20!) if I stop getting cards, and if I do/don't is a bit up in the air at this point. Currently I have the CSR (which we're going to keep at least one more year without downgrading) and Disney, so no other UR cards.

I did consider a scenario like: get SW business card, 30-60 days later apply for SW personal and CSP on the same day. Obviously that only works if the business card doesn't count against me.

I was planning on using some wedding expenses to help meet the minimum spends, like photographer, venue fee, and caterer deposit. The rest should come from our regular spending, like auto insurance, groceries, and phone bills. With the email Chase sent out this last week, are there any expenses I should try to put on the personal card vs the business card? Putting the wedding expenses on the business card would almost knock out the spend, and I'd like to get one card done quickly to get the points. That way we can book our flights with the RR points just in case my plan wouldn't work out, and I wouldn't move UR points from my CSR unnecessarily so they could be saved for other things. And if it does work, when I'd get the CP I could just cancel my fiance's flight, get the points back, and add him as my companion.

ETA: Figured I might as well add, I'm needing a new bank anyways and Chase keeps sending me the $200/$300 account bonuses, so I'm planning on doing that in the next few weeks. So maybe I'll luck out and get an in-branch approval for one of the other UR cards...

Should I send a SM asking for the 100k rather than 80k on the Ink BP? Do I just say I read there is an in-branch offer of 100k and had I known, I would have gone in the branch to apply?

That was exactly what I planned to do. And my branch is about 45 minutes away - would have absolutely gone in person to get one!

i dont think there is a very high chance you will be matched. Last year, the 60k went up to 70k for ink+ and they wouldnt match it because they wanted "in branch." but because this wasnt offered before, it took chase a week to give in and match everyone. They made it pretty clear for 100K must be done inbranch. You could give it at try. With Small business week going on, if they lift some restrictions, if you find a flyer, that would def help your case. You can also try another department within SM, first 2 times i tried rewards, then i tried customer service. Good luck! Hope u win! :]

My vacation totals with my credit card points are
5 round trip flights to Las Vegas total cost - $1446 paid - $56 Sw points used - 66,582 + companion pass
12 nights hotels (grand canyon/page/Monument Valley/Bryce/Zion/Las Vegas) total cost $2953.87 paid - $614.91 UR points used -155,928

so paying $670.91 out of pocket for $4399.87 in value. I did this through opening 4 cards in last year, 2 SW personal, CSR and CSP. Looking to add more soon!

Still looking for a cheaper rental minivan, have $517 reserved through Alamo. Hoping to get it cheaper. Costco is slightly cheaper, but we do not have Costco near us, so would have to buy a membership.

Been reading this thread on and off for the past week...Just wondering does anyone put mortgage payments or car paymenets on their cc ? Or is that something you sboulder check with your bank? I'm just wondering if there can be ramifications for this

it depends on how u value the points. Usually mortgage payments and car payments doesnt allow a credit card or requires a fee on top of it. The only time that it makes sense to pay a fee is if you need to make minimums. After that, you would have to decide if buying the points at xx amount is worth it for you or not.

You could. Plastiq accepts credit cards for almost any kind of bill -- including mortgages and car payments -- with a 2.5% fee and will send your payment electronically or by check to the payee. If your lender accepts checks as a form of payment, you can use Plastiq to pay them. There was quite a bit of discussion in this thread about using Plastiq to pay mortgages and rents about a week and a half to two weeks ago. Like @Albort said, it's up to you to decide whether the 2.5% fee is worth the credit card points, miles or cash back you'll earn.

Currently, a lot of people with the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Ink Preferred cards are using Plastiq to pay their rent and mortgage because Plastiq started coding transactions marked as "Rent, Mortgage, and Real Estate" under the "Travel" category recently, and the CSR and CIP cards earn a 3x bonus on travel charges, effectively negating the 2.5% fee and even putting you a little ahead in points.

However, there's no telling how long this travel coding will last and whether Plastiq or Chase will put a sudden stop to it. Accepting payments on the CSR and business credit cards and coding transactions as travel, and then rewarding the bonus points for such transactions apparently can be quite expensive. RadPad, a similar service that processes credit card payments for rent only, briefly coded such payments as travel and earned a 3x bonus on charges to the CSR and CIP cards, but abruptly changed their coding to just 1x without warning and is even increasing their transaction fee to as high as 3.99% on high interchange fee cards like the CSR. And that's not the only problem with RadPad. Late last year, RadPad had some cash flow problems that left a lot of their customers' payments in limbo. On the other hand, Plastiq has been in business for about 5 years now and their business is more diversified than RadPad's, so hopefully this doesn't become an issue.

As you can see, how many points, miles or cash back you get to make the 2.5% fee potentially worth it is highly dependent on what credit cards you have, and how the payment processor and the banks code the transaction, which could change at any time. It's always a good idea to keep apprised of the latest data points, test with a small partial payment so you're not fully sunk in if the bonus rates changed, and ask any questions you may have here or on other similar points and miles churning communities online. Never never never contact Plastiq or Chase to ask why you're not getting the points you think you should be getting.

Have you looked for car rentals using the Chase Ultimate Rewards website? I've found rentals for less than half of Costco recently.

Thank you, Albort, tink1970 and calypso726, for the comments and advice. You all helped confirm a lot my thoughts regarding cards and how to use them. Thanks again!!
