Long time Dis-er, but this is my alt posting. Anyone have any experience with Alaskan Airlines BoA card? DH and I applied separately and were approved. We did it solely for the free companion offer ($1000/3 months). Yes, there is the $75 annual charge, but that is far less than what our airfare would be from the west coast to WDW in December. I'm wondering how their customer service is and if the free companion shows up on the billing statement following the expenditure. Thank you in advance!

I got the 35K bonus (applied last March). The extra 10K required another $2,000 I believe. I think it was 25K for $3K within 3 months and 10K more for an additional $2k in 6 months.
That's what DH's offer was too.

how? I'm forgetting something here obviously, can you use other forms of payment for a gc?
The OP was saying no Chase pay at gas station. You could buy a gas gift card at someplace that takes Chase Pay, like Walmart. Discover has 5% at warehouse clubs, but Costco stores don't take Discover so I bought a Costco gift card on line which does take Discover.

ok so DH PC'ed to the FU, I can see it on the acct page as FU, but I still see the $450 AF,which is due in about 5 days.... will it drop off automatically before payment date? I don't want to get into a mess of late payments etc
You may have to pay it and then they'll credit. We PCd DHs CSR and it took 6 or 7 days for the credit to show up

Long-time reader, rare poster here. Wife applied last week for SW Biz. Just started a home based business on the side about a year ago. Applied as a sole proprietorship using SS number. May have made a mistake by putting a name to the business instead of leaving it just in her name on the app. Got the 30 day message and then the automated line said 2 weeks. Received a letter from Chase's Fraud Department asking to call in to confirm that it is really her applying for the card under her SS # before they can proceed with processing her application. Anyone with DPs on this particular situation and the likelihood of getting approved if she calls in

i havent seen much DP on the SW card, but what ive read is that its just a simple check. I could be wrong though, id say, call and find out. if they start asking questions on the business, id just pretend the line got disconnected, then review the questions they will ask, and then call again... :]

the march 35k deal and the Nov 35k deal were different. march one was 6k i think. the Nov 35k was 10k spendings. 6k for 25k, 4k for 10k. It was a bit high so i had to plan it out accordingly before applying. i ended up paying more than i should so i got the bonuses pretty quickly.

I did not realize that. When the personal SPG bonus went to 35k bonus, do you know if the spend went up significantly on that as well?

Just to make sure we're all discussing the same thing:
On the SPG Personal there was a 35k offer back in Spring 2017 that earned as follows:
  • 25k points for $3k spend
  • 10k points for additional $2k spend
  • 35k total points for $5k total spend
On the SPG Business there was a 35k offer back in Spring 2017 that earned as follows:
  • 25k points for $5k spend
  • 10k points for additional $3k spend
  • 35k total points for $8k total spend
On the SPG Business there was a 35k offer in Fall 2017 that earned as follows:
  • 25k points for $6k spend
  • 10k points for additional $4k spend
  • 35k total points for $10k total spend
I think everybody that posted was giving correct information but were potentially talking about different offers, haha! That is the history of 35k point SPG offers over the past 12 months.

Lots of Sam's Clubs closed without warning overnight. If you stocked up on Walmart cards to use at Sam's you should make sure your store is still open!

It's disgusting that many workers were not given any notice and only found out they lost their jobs when they showed up to locked doors this morning.

Mine is safe, thank goodness. I prefer it to Costco as it is much less of a madhouse and I adore scanning/checkout on the app.

They did give employees 60 paid days and severance on top of that if still unemployed after 60 days. Not bad.

Is there away to add my hubby’s car to my chase pay? I might just order an extra card, if not.

I am having a hard time finding places to even use Chase Pay and Apple Pay anyway.

No the March deal was $5,000 total.

NM @SouthFayetteFan cleared it up.

I have had the BoA card for several years. I don't remember when the first companion pass credited to the account but in subsequent years it is on your anniversary date.

Customer service is great! We recently (like 3 days ago) had to cancel a flight to Orlando on Jan. 21, due to my husband's health. They put everything back into my wallet and waived the change fee. The CSR even said he was putting my dh on his prayer list. He prays every night for his AK customers. That made me cry!

As for the companion pass, using it between PDX and MCO I am usually only able to save a few dollars, less than twenty, off of a good sale fare. I have let the companion pass expire a few times due to this. The card covers one free bag per person, so $100 on one RT pays for the fee.

Alaska has been my airlines choice since the mid eighties, when I started flying to Alaska frequently. It is always my first choice. I love their non stop PDX-MCO flight.

I have never flown Alaska but was a Virgin America flyer. Due to the merge i got this credit card. So far I have had no problems.
Customer service seems great. I got the companion pass and the points after the statement ended. The companion pass shows up
on your profile when you log in.

Ah, ninja onions! What a wonderful experience with customer service. Made me tear up.

Watching the mailbox for the first card to arrive. Will let you all know how it goes. Hoping that this will build some points and that I can travel to visit friends in the next few years.

chase pay is very limited... apple pay is not though. Apple pay very advertised, you sometimes have to watch for the symbol to come up when u check out. I was at a kfc, i asked if they accept apple pay, they told me they dont. when i was gonna swipe my card, i noticed the NFC symbol and used apple pay instead.

as for your hubby's card, why not just login into his account?

I was just reading through the comments on DoC's post about ShopRite, and a few people report that CSR didn't work. Has anyone seen DPs of 10x on the CSR?

ShopRite's advertising it specifically so I hope it would work. (I can only figure out how to get to the page from the ad window so the URL is huge:
http://plan.shoprite.com/MarketLand...00x250&geo=1&mwgdctags=&mwgdctab=JP Morgan _2)

But the Sapphire Reserve got it's own tab.
"Use Chase Pay with your Chase Sapphire Reserve card at ShopRite stores or shoprite.com and you'll earn a total of 10x points on up to $400 in overall purchases from January 1st to February 4th. That's 9 extra points in addition to the 1 point you always earn on purchases at ShopRite. "

The other tab just says "Sapphire" but I didn't think there was a product like that anymore, it's just CSR and CSP now right? Do folks still have a plain one, cuz then I guess they they left it open for the grandfathered folks for either CS or CSP.

My stupid question I have to ask... did they make sure they used Chase Pay and not some other wallet or just the card?

Should I be concerned that I bought our SW tickets last friday and my charges are not showing up on my CSR? I used the CSR instead of points for mine to use up my travel credit and then later that day I added my husband on as a companion. His charges of $5.60 each way are showing on my account (posted 1/5) but my charges are not. I do have a email confirmation from Southwest for the tickets and I double checked and the last numbers are for my CSR and not any other card. Is it unusual for it to take that long to post? I have only used points for tickets, the $5.60 charges have always posted right away.

Another reason I dislike the company, although many companies have done this, sadly. Don't generally shop there but have been taking advantage of Disney GCs

You can order online and use GCs, correct?
