I love credit cards so much!

It did prompt for a pin but the one I bought didn't have one. So I need to look for a Visa debit? I was so confused when I went I wasn't sure what to get and just picked one.

Yes debit for sure. Are you sure there was no pin? Do you still have the packaging? Try calling the number on the back of your card and see if they give you the option to set a pin number.

If we know DH is at 5/24 but when he looks at Chase and checks his credit info it shows him at 4/24, is he ok to apply for the Chase World of Hyatt card?

Android user. My IHG has no offers. I have offers for my CSR and Freedom and oddly, my closed SW card that refuses to disappear.
You can go into your preferences and opt to not show that closed account.

Do you have to have enough HH points to book a room before you can see how many points you need to redeem for a free night?Hope that makes sense. Just wondering if I’m out of luck booking a room on points for our Tucson trip this spring. It’s not showing as available on points, but I only have 2,xxx points at the moment. I should have enough in about a month. Could also supplement with the MR -> HH deal going on until 12/31.

I'm not sure, but I am happy to check if you let me know the dates and hotel.

Well I just sent a SM asking to change from the Slate to the CFU. I kept going back and forth on the CF vs CFU. In the end everything I read said overall you come out with more using the CFU unless you 100% max every 5% category. And I don't think I would necessarily do that.

Thank you so much! It’s the Hilton East in Tucson, 3/26-4/1
2queen room is available for 30k/night or $127/nt with the MVP rate code.

ETA: I know this thread is about using points, but I always compare this rate code and decide which to use. For ex, we have a hockey weekend coming up. I could use 25k points per night or with the MVP rate $88/night. I went with the cash rate for that stay. Here is the link:

Typically, yes :(

Thanks. Ugh. It's for DD. She wants a CC other than the one she has through the credit union she banks at. I guess we could try to get her to call about it. She's a student with a pretty low income that varies greatly (summer of course is when she makes most of her money) but she is very fiscally responsible. I thought this was the "starter card" so I suggested she try it. I think @wendow's DD was approved for one. I'm wondering if we did anything wrong.

I think she may want to try the discover card first. I believe @wendow told me to get DD that one for a year and then the CFU as that was how her DD did it.

Is Chase's 7-10 business days the bad message?

Does that mean you went for it?? The Chase credit journey will show the number of open cards you have in the last 24 months, but if you have opened and closed one that will still count against you but not show up in that number. That is probably your issue here. Sorry!

I think you may have to call to product change now. I have done it by SM in the past, but I thought I remember reading that had changed in the last year. Let us know if it does work through SM. I just called yesterday to change my CSP to CFU and it was quick.

Oh, so it was not the Hyatt. Just wondering if you know her score and what you put as income? I was thinking about having DD apply for this soon. She did get the Discover this summer.

Fortunately they live in a home where the entry is only one step to get in. Most of the bedrooms are on the main level. We are going up there this weekend to start a few accommodations. Two parents with broken legs will not be fun with two little ones
So good their house is fairly accommodating, many are not. My sisters house has no bedrooms or full bathroom on main floor. Just a powder room. My mom stayed with her after surgery and it was very hard.

Nope, when I select the CSR (which has offers that show on the main screen) no offers so up in just that card. Are you apple or android? I wonder why yours is different?

Hm, that is odd. I'm Android. Maybe that's the difference?
Mine is like @miztressuz and I have an iPhone. Maybe @LilSweetPeaPhoto should delete and download the app?
