I love credit cards so much!

My DS9 plays travel hockey here in Nashville. Just since he has been playing (age 4) the sport has grown a ton here, but I am sure is nowhere near what it is like where you are. My DH won't admit it, but I feel certain that one of his hangups on moving back to Charleston are the very limited hockey opportunities our son will have there. We had friends there who had to send their kid to live up north with another family to play at a more competitive level. I can't imagine. :( My DS eats, sleeps, breathes hockey, so I hate for him not to have a decent level of competition, but I also hate to not move home.

We have probably 15 rinks in any direction within a 20-30 min drive. And of course most of them have a travel team hosted at them. The nice thing is that likely Brady wouldn't ever have to billet with the amount of programs here. That said, my USA boys loved their billet families! They spoiled them! And I know a few families who have billeted and they are great families. So if he had to billet he would be in good hands!

OH WOW! 15 RINKS!?!? We have a major ice shortage here and it is a major problem. We have 2 rinks. Everyone uses them, from figure skaters, open skate, stick n puck, house leagues, adult leagues, high school teams, and travel teams. My DH plays on an adult league and their games are 10pm on Sundays because thats all they can get. They are building a 3rd rink. Hopefully that will help.
Charleston has only 1 rink and no NHL team. They have a travel team but I looked at the schedule and it is not very intense at all. Much shorter season than we play here. I'm having some mom guilt about pulling him away from the opportunity here, but geeze I really want to go home!:guilty: Nashville is rain, more rain, Cold, ice, more rain, too hot to breathe, back to rain. Awful.

Anyone know why the disney visa doesn't have chase offers? I thought maybe b/c it is cobranded, but my SW card has offers.

I don't have anything when I select the card. I only have offers when I scroll down the main page past all my accounts.

That's weird and shouldn't be. You'll see what I mean if you go to a card that has offers and then scroll past transactions, the same offers section pops up but just for that card selected. I'd probably ask Chase why that one isn't showing the offers section since it's an eligible card. Disney doesn't have offers so no section appears on that card for me, but for the rest that are eligible that section is there even if there wasn't any offers available (just gave a message like 'use your card to see more offers' or something like that). That's just odd.

yeah, I think 15 might even be on the low end, LOL. There are 6 within about a 5-10 minute drive from our house currently. I'm sure you've heard of some of the teams, we have Compuware, Honeybaked both in that 5-10 area. He plays for Victory Honda. Belle Tire is about 30 min drive. I think we worked out that we might be playing y'all in Feb. We'll see how that goes. His "BIG" christmas present is coming today. I bought him the skatable tiles. I wish we had a flat backyard to flood and make ice, but we have a hill. So I bought him enough for about 8x12 area to skate on our deck. Figure people can add to it for bdays and Christmas.

My BF lives in NC and wants me to move there. I can't with split custody...plus teachers don't make jack down there. But let me tell you, no hockey was a concern too, LOL. One of my former students is stationed about an hour away from my BF and HATES there's no hockey for his son.

There are no offers on my dh’s IHG card either. I thought maybe it would, but when I scroll to the bottom there’s nothing. Do you have to set the card up for Apple Pay to get them?

Nope, when I select the CSR (which has offers that show on the main screen) no offers so up in just that card. Are you apple or android? I wonder why yours is different?

We have 18 and probably at least 15 have charges each month. It is getting to be too much at the end of the month when I go in and pay them all off. I'd like to narrow it down, but the amex/chase offers keep sucking me in.

That's me too. I currently have 20 cards listed in YNAB. It includes stuff like our older BoA cards that we won't close because they're our first cards, and our Kohl's card and Express card. I currently have charges on 10 of them- 11 until I paid the $15 on my Hilton Amex yesterday lol.

On the app? Yeah, only my CSR card shows, not my IHG. And my 2 checking accounts show too. One for my mom's checking account and one for the joint one me and the ex only use for auto pay accounts we still share (student loans, car insurance, etc). I wonder why I don't have my IHG.
Luck of the draw? Seems like others have this card and on other co-branded cards (other than Disney). Worth an SM?

I can only confirm that nothing on my Disney. The only cobranded card I have is the IHG and it does have offers (now I have to start carrying it around!)

End of year/Going into Q1 What's In Your Wallet? poll:

Always interested to see what cards people are using regularly.

My regularly used cards these days include the pink gold Amex, Arrival+, Target Red Debit and now Amazon biz in my Amazon account only.

I do carry my Amex plat to be fancy, plus my Chase debit and my HSA card but I need to put that one away. I'm streamlining and getting more simple in my old age.
I've been in MSR mode for the entire year so it is usually just that card. If no MSR, then using CF for 5% categories, CSR for Travel/Dining and all else, CIC for gas. Only have SPG biz and Hilton biz on AMEX so they get used if there is an offer or if staying at one of those locations.

Regarding Chase offers - I have two cobrands, Disney and United. I get offers on United. Nothing on Disney... and certainly nothing on my debit card.

Just got a call from my mother that my grandmother had just passed away. I am glad we were able to make the trek to NH on Christmas Eve to see her. My grandparents live right behind my parents, so after dinner, my bother and our DWs took my grandfather some food down to say hi and see how they both were. We walk in and he has the TV on a station playing Christmas music with the fireplace on the screen. Off on the side he had the little LED Christmas tree plugged in (pic attached). He went into their bedroom to make sure she was awake. We walked in and said hi, to which she just smiled and nodded. On their dresser was a beautiful bouquet of the prettiest roses I had ever seen, illuminated by the light on the dresser. He told us it was his final gift to her on Earth. He even set a small radio in the room so she could listen to Christmas music. The rest is history but the memories live on.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share it here, with my friends.

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

So glad you got a last visit and that her passing was peaceful.

I've been trying to distract myself by reading online today, when my phone is not beeping with texts.

This morning my daughter and family were in a pretty bad car accident in Colorado. They've all survived and no one is currently critical, but lots of broken bones. Both of the cars look totaled. My ex went to the scene and sent me the pics. Daughter called me before help came and there was barely a signal so it was pretty scary.

Youngest grand daughter just had a cat scan and they are getting ready to do an MRI of her C2 neck bone. She was on side of the car that was hit but of course she was in her car seat in the back. Older grand daughter has been released, but Mom, Dad and youngest are still in hospital. Dad is in surgery now and has multiple broken bones but is not critical. He was airlifted to the hospital and Mom and 2 daughters came by ambulance. Mom's ankle badly broken.

Yesterday it was pictures texted back and forth of everyone having a wonderful xmas with our Colorado family, and today is not so great but I'm thankful everyone survived and will recover.

The other driver also survived, and I'm happy for his family.

Sounds like everything is going okay from your updates. So glad everyone will be on the mend, and that they will have you to help them when they get home - will be a long recovery for everyone. Thank goodness for family who can pull together at times like this!

well darn, why didn't mine work then. I figured it hadn't worked because it said I needed to order ahead and I ordered from a restaurant kiosk for my food and at the counter for my GC. I used 2 diff cards and neither credited. I think I will send a SM and see what they say.

I was just looking at my chase offers and I see 2 different ones for Panera. One says for online order only, the other doesn't. Maybe you only had the online order one?

I was thinking maybe your offers are related to how much you use a card. My Csr has quite a few, my CF less, and my SW just one. That goes with my volume of usage of those cards. 0 on Disney....but I never use it!

I’m still in Edinburgh so my “travel” wallet is different than my everyday wallet. For our trip-SPG Lux since we’re at the Sheraton Grand; CSR for dining; Amex Plat for lounge access; Barclay Arrival just in case we need a true chip & PIN.

When I get home, it will be Discover It for grocery (gift cards), Chase freedom for drug store (more gift cards), amex rose gold for actual groceries/restaurant, and CFU for everything else. I keep
my amex gold biz in the car for gas. Once I max out my 5% cards, I’m pretty basic.

Yeah, I just checked. Both cards' offers were online ordering. Boo.
