Hmm... Decisions. My CSR 50000 is now pending. I'm at 4/24 and was planning on going for CIP to rebuild my UR stash. But we've hit the $1500 Freedom quarter bonus already, thanks to a new cell phone and BJs gift cards. I do a lot of BJs/sams shopping, especially for the holidays, and 2 months of this quarter left. I'm feeling like I need my own Freedom. DH is also at 4/24 and he doesn't have any cards that I want to downgrade to another Freedom either. I have a card dropping off in Jan so I could get a CIP after that. What to do...

ETA: Oops, no I lied. DH is 3/24 in Jan, I'm not until May. I don't want to open another freedom for him so I guess I'll go for the CIP instead. Sigh.

I saw that, and thought, of course the red one. Because I'd never pick red.

You could always get decal things off etsy to decorate. White wasn't my choice but I didn't pay for it and they got it for 25 at an estate sale. Works great so far which is what matters.

The only time I run into an issue is when I do half a batch of pizza dough (2 cups of flour). Anything bigger than that seems fine. But I also bought a paddle with a scraper. Highly recommend that vs. the paddle that comes with it. Of course you use the bread hook for pizza/bread/bagel dough.

I want one of these so that's good to know. I also want the thing that goea on the bowl to help with pouring because I make a mess when I cook, not on purpose and I clean as I go but the dog sometimes has flour on him when I'm done.

I’d apply for the CIP now....then using a referral from your CIP have your husband open one....easy way to get 190,000URs..with the MSR on each

Yes, I transferred points from DH's regular CS to my CSR before. Just removed the linked card. Found something online that says I might have to wait 24 hours. Also something about having to create a transfer chain to avoid this. That sounds like such a pain! I wonder if I can always just remove the linked card instead.

I had to wait 24 hours before. The transfer chain isn't too bad to set up and use.

I think the problem is when you linked your CSR to your DH's CS. I think your CSR can only receive EITHER from you OR your DH, but not BOTH. All of my personal and business cards (CIC and CIP) can transfer to my CSR. I have all of DH's URs transfer to my CF, then transfer my CF to CSR. No problems that way.

ETA: If the only UR card you have is your CSR then I can see it would be a hassle to keep switching the CSR between your and your DH's cards. If that's the case, and you're under 5/24, I'd try to get another UR card.

Is there anything I need to do before I reload my Starbucks card from Chase Pay as far as adding things to my Chase/Starbucks account? I was going to do the $25 Chase Pay from CFU on the Starbucks app for the 125 stars plus 1500 URs.

ETA: Disregard. Didn't realize 1500 URs was only for Sapphire products. I'll go with Freedom for 5x UR.
The Chase Freedom cards are working for the 1500 MR for 5x Chase Pay. I did not receive an email, so to be certain I sent a secure message asking if my Chase Freedom card was eligible for the offer. They replied that it was eligible, though they called it a Chase Freedom Ultimate card, which I had not heard of before.

I’ve read about this happening when one of the cards has already had URs transferred into it or from it.....the work around is to transfer the points from one card to another until they wind up in your CSR....for example...I have my P2s CIP points...transferred to my CIP....then my CIP points transferred to the CSR....

Thank you both! Guess I'll plan on DH CIP -> CIP -> CSR.

Edit: And to @striker1064 too!

I think if you work the math the CIP is not a bad thing. :)

New Freedom maxed out for a year is 30,000 UR on categories plus 15,000 UR sign up bonus = 45,000 UR
CIP sign up bonus is 80k UR + 20k if you can refer from DH. Probably worth taking the hit short term and wait out the Freedom until May :)

Edit: numbers typo, fixed

So untargeted on all Sapphires and freedoms (regular and unlimited)??

Chiming in on the stand mixers. Best gift DH ever got me. Have had mine - KA Classic in white - for probably 10 years. I don't have my hand mixer anymore. It really helps now that I have arthritis in my hands. I can't mix the peanut butter for Buckeyes by hand anymore so I use the stand mixer. I use if for all mixing - baking plus mashed potatoes, meatballs,...

My preference is the metal bowl vs the glass bowl. I got a small bowl with the mixer. Too small and no handle. A year or two later got a larger glass bowl with a handle. I hated it. It was so heavy. I took it back and got the metal bowl with a handle. So much lighter. Really recommend getting a bowl with a handle. With Christmas baking coming up, I need to get another one so I don't have to clean the one I have when I go from cake mix to cookie batter!

Mine lives on the counter. Agree it is too heavy to lift up and down!

Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to get a CIP. I don't need the points immediately so I could have waited a little. Was just trying to sneak in a Freedom in addition for this quarter, but it won't work out. :-)

I agree on the metal bowl! I also watch so many cooking/baking shows and have seen people who hit their beater on the glass bowl shatter it numerous times. Not sure if its for drama on tv, or a weakness with the bowl. I personally use a spatula to clean my beater, but I don't need something so heavy and delicate haha

Mine broke--don't even know how. And the 6 quart glass bowl is $100 to replace. Made switching to metal a very easy choice:)

Mine, too. There is no way I could carry that thing. I love all the pretty colors, but couldn't choose so I went with white since I figured it would be out all the time and I might regret something else. But I still love to look at the pretty colors in the stores.

Typically just add the minus amounts on my statement... or however much u spend since u added = whatever amount u need to spend to max out.
Thanks. I was being lazy and not going back to all the statements! I just added the app to my phone and there is a cool redeemed button that showed all of it to me. Still have $300 to purchase before I would hit the max.

What!!! I have never seen one shatter. I can believe it though. I am like you and use a spatula to clean the beater.

White is nice as it is very neutral. I didn't pick since DH bought it. He probably didn't even know there were many other colors!! But really all I see is brown on my counter. I bought the cover and keep it covered when not using. Then I can store the bowl with it and not worry about dust or other things making it dirty when it is not in use.

I worry I would regret not getting white or a silver/gray color, something neutral. But now I see this one:
