It depends on how much it costs. I’d be pretty ticked if DH spent a bunch of $ without asking. But I manage the finances, so he’d have no ide if we could afford it. What's pretty interesting is the first part of this: "Annual Membership Fee: Approximately 45 days after your account is upgraded, you will be charged a prorated Annual Membership Fee for your new Card based on the time remaining until your next account anniversary date. You will also receive a prorated refund for any annual fee paid on your previous Card."

Well, I lost my upgrade option. I was trying to respond to @disneymagicgirl to see if I could figure out what I clicked but when I went back through, my account says I am not eligible. I had logged in before so not sure what is up.

My DH really just knows “points”. To him miles, points, URs, MRs...all the same. I collect them and book vacations with them, he enjoys said vacations. He will call if necessary but usually requires nagging...not like I’m referring to that SW card that needs a retention bonus

Lady pops off for the briefest of seconds, I don't even think I got a hold button, comes back and says no offers are available for my account. Gotta find @SouthFayetteFan 's post for what time to call to get my man Geno to see if he can hook me up too

I didn't change our statement date. The staff member I messaged said it could take up to 2 billing cycles for it to even take effect. I don't want to take the chance of it getting pushed back even further. Looks like our statement date should be September 10. Idk if I can wait that long lol

Haha I can’t believe you remembered his name!! That was a Sunday afternoon I believe. I called in for my Freedom Card interestingly enough and just asked about the fee as a throwaway question at the end of the call (for what it’s worth).

AF pep talk coming up. It’s not really $450 if you were going to be staying at a Starriott property anyhow. If you factor in the $300 credit then it’s a $150 AF. If you redeem the free night at a property that is more than $150 per night it’s a wash. Totally worth it for the first year at least.

So the downside to this offer?
My AF for SPG personal posted 4/18. I also have SPG Biz, and had/cancelled Marriott personal card. I am over 5/24 for now, so not eligible for Marriott Card now. What would taking this offer lock me out of?

Haha that's okay. It's hard to complain about free travel! There is a lot of availability for economy seats so if that's we have to resort to that's okay.
