I love credit cards so much!

Some advice would be appreciated! I am very interested in AMEX Hilton biz card based on current all time high offer. I thought CIP would be my first biz card. I was approved for CSP around 7/1. That put me at 4/24. I Planned to go for CIP in October. Can I go for Hilton biz in the meantime? I want to build Hilton points. Can the biz points be pooled with future points from personal cards? If so how does that work? Is there a way to 'park' these points with the personal no fee Hilton card eventually? I read this thread religiously every day and I am trying to learn! But I am terrified to mess up lol
Sounds like a Hilton Biz is the right card for you! Won't mess up 5/24 and will start you on your way to Hilton points!

Thanks.

10k MSR is a bit much for me and GF since our monthly spend is relatively low, even including rent and car payments etc.

I'm currently at:
SW premiere - 1/17
SW Plus - 3/17
CSR - 11/17
CIP - 3/18

Also thinking about CIC 50k. Would it be more beneficial to just keep maxing out Chase cards? or finally jump into AMEX and try for the 100k personal?

Personally, I'd go for the CIC or CIU now and get the clock started until your next Chase biz application ~3 months from now. With some uncertainty how much longer the elevated 50k UR offers will be around, I'd get them while the gettin's good. You're 3/24, with the oldest card dropping off in ~5 months. 2 slots is plenty to keep you busy for 5 months, especially if you're going for Chase's biz cards which don't add to the count.

Unless you have a need for the Platinum now, I wouldn't go messing around with trying to pull the 100k MR offer until probably the end of the year (and try to time it for an airline credit triple dip), because if you pull the offer then you really should put in an application right then and there. I know you've got plans to fly to Japan, and LAS has a Centurion Lounge. When's your trip, and do you have any other flights coming up when you can take advantage of the lounge?

Hilton points earned from credit card bonuses and spend go into your Hilton Honors account. You don't need to hold an Amex Hilton card to "park" the points; they go to Hilton. Hilton points earned on Amex personal and business cards are all the same, they all get pooled in your Hilton Honors account. If you have a Player 2 with his own Hilton Honors account, Hilton allows for easy and free points pooling. A Hilton member can transfer a maximum of 500,000 points in a calendar year, and receive up to 2 million points a year.

The Never Ending saga of HILTON biz card offers continues...https://www.doctorofcredit.com/hilt...card-125000-point-offer-100-statement-credit/

125k Hilton points PLUS $100 stmt credit (AF not waived) available via dummy booking.

This follows previous offers of:
- 125k + $50 stmt credit (AF not waived)
- 100k + $100 stmt credit (AF waived)

Seems they are just trying to figure out what works best...good luck to anybody trying for this offer :)
Hmmmm and here I sit with no MSR to meet while I wait to DD SW later in the fall when I drop to 4/24...

Once I close all these Amex cards down the road they will probably ban me for life. But I will have gotten most all bonuses anyway by then LOL

God, that’s better than the last 125k offer back in May-June.

It is better! And here I have been considering jumping into Hilton cards :crazy2: I just finished off my new Marriott biz (as long as plastiq processes) and I have car insurance and tuition to pretty much finish off the spg biz. Then I will be all lonely with no MSR to work on

Hilton just wants to tug on the heartstrings...I just got it this past weekend under the 100K + $50 stmt credit (AF waived) offer. While this is a nice offer, I think I am content with what I got. Essentially, it's the equivalent of an extra 25K points or a $50 stmt credit since I view the $100 credit on the new offer as offsetting the AF. While 25K could in theory yield anywhere from $100-$150, I view it as indifferent, ultimately (or perhaps to feel better ).

Depending on when this expires, I could get this for DH and take us to $19K in MSR by November :faint:

As I sit here, ready to do my app for the SPG Lux, I just realized I got the Hilton Biz on Saturday, so today is actually the 5th day since the approval. With Amex's one credit approval per five days, should I be waiting til tomorrow, or am I fine applying today?

I should also add that you can easily transfer Hilton points between spouses so if you have a P2 and you both get a Hilton biz, you can combine those points.

I think I am going to go for it! I've taken everyone's advice and started my spreadsheet to track everything. I am going to refer to it tomorrow at work to confirm my long term plans and be sure I am good to go! I do have a P2 so the idea of doubling up on every Hilton offer is very enticing!

Yeah, no AF and 50k on the CIC is a really good offer now that I think about it.

Although the Centurion Lounge would be pretty cool, we are fine with The Club here in LAS as our flight in a couple weeks to WDW is early and they have a decent breakfast with pastries, fresh yogurt and a good espresso machine. Might not even try The Club at MCO as we don't want to deal with TSA there again. We both put in our application for GE / pre-check, so if we get that before we leave we might hit up the lounge. For Tokyo (not till June 2019), we are flying First/Biz so we are going to have access to the Star Alliance Lounge at LAX and the First Class lounge at Narita so PP or AMEX won't be used at all.

I'm helping the GF with the MSR on the CSR and we are about half way through, so once that's fulfilled I might do the CIC until Nov/Dec and then seek out 100k PP AMEX since it's not guaranteed.

Right now we are trying to plan the hotel in Tokyo... We want to stay at the Miracosta, so we would have to pay out of pocket for that since there are no awards for on-property hotels IIRC. We're going to be there for a week and the plan is to do 3 nights on TDR property staying at either the Miracosta or TDH (whatever we can get lol), and 4 nights in the city. Initially we were like "we should save our points" for the nights in the city and looking at the Hyatt regency at 12k. But with all the recent devaluations, why not just use them all on a sweet room like the Andaz?

It seems like it's much easier earning points then spending them, so why not? I have a feeling that it's just a matter of time until the Hyatt awards in Tokyo get modified (especially Andaz).

Y'all have been super chatty (worse than my mom:laughing:) and I cannot go back and read it all. @disneymagicgirl Any more marriott TP's info?
@amalone1013 My RMN BB offer went pending today! Can't believe it :) Any more good ones you (or anyone else) have seen?
You said you're headed to Texas soon, right? RMN had $10 off $30 at Academy for me last week which I used for soft ball gear and now I have $5 off, which I'll use for more softball stuff I'm sure.

I am headed there soon! I'll be in the Houston area (league city for a few nights and then north Houston). Have to check out the Academy offer and see if there is anything we need. Thanks for sharing :)

Yup! It does costs $1. And you used to could fill out a paper one in the PO and it was still free (really confused how a digital one cost but the one that human hands have to touch and enter into the system is free...). But then they took away the paper ones in the PO and if you ask for one, they just hand you a paper with the website link to do it online.
Wait what costs $1 with USPS? I have been spending too much time on a returned mail initiative.

SPG Lux upgrade offers are out. Anywhere from 0-100k (!) and people are all across that range on DoC right now.

(This is a good deal for anyone who doesn’t want to take another slot with Amex up but wants the bonus and/or card.)

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/american-express-spg-luxury-100000-point-upgrade-offer/
do you just click on the request upgrade? I assume you can confirm it after you see the offer and it doesn't just automatically upgrade you?
